Hi, y’all.

Patton Oswalt

Patton Oswalt in 2010

Patton Oswalt is one of my favorite comedians. Several of his shows can be found on Netflix streaming if you’re not familiar with his crass, geeky humor. I’ve also enjoyed him as an actor, for example on Joss Whedon’s troubled but intriguing series Dollhouse.

Here though is a short documentary about what his life is like on the road. Fair warning: some swear words are censored but the subject matter is very uncensored. I really enjoyed his frankness about his motivations, the origins of his comedy, even his irritation at being followed by a camera crew and asked personal questions.

This short film was the subject of a recent movie night — you might have missed it, so read the discussion here.
