I just read Jason Rosenbaum’s ”An open letter to Karen Ignagni: You must meet with the victims of your industry” and got so upset that I decided to call Guardian Life Insurance Co.
Now I would like to ask you to do the same.
And I would like you to ask everyone you know to do the same, too.
The phone number is 212-598-8000.
You might want to look over the CEO’s bio and the list of senior management of the company HERE first.

Dennis J. Manning, President and CEO of Guardian Life Insurance Co. and one of our country’s bigger A$$holes, sure has lived the American dream while others suffer and die, hasn’t he? But, hey, he has worked hard to rise to the top of a company that is all about “products” and “profits,” not about helping people, right?
Again, the number is 212-598-8000.
Based on my call, I suggest that you say the following when the person answers the phone:
1. Is this the Guardian Life Insurance Co that could not cancel Ian Pearl’s policy and so has decided to eliminate the entire “product line” that includes Ian’s policy from the State of New York?
When the answer is a timid “yes,” ask:
2. How do you feel about working for a company that would treat human beings that way?
After a bit of awkward babbling from the person on the line, say:
3. I would like to speak to your bosses and tell them how I feel about it.
You will then be sent to a voice mail where you can leave comments. By all means, share your thoughts with them.
You can also email them via their website’s contact page. Here is the contact page for the insurance company that is discontinuing “the entire product line” that includes Ian’s policy.
And you can mail a letter to their Home Office:
Guardian Life Insurance Co.

Money over morality! Gee! I’m surpized. You can’t shame these Companies. If we could there would be no prolems. Even public opinion can’t trump hundreds of millions of DOLLARS.
Thanks for this Knoxville! I’m calling now.
I just called Guardian “Life” Insurance.
They’re closed.
But you can press 1 to indicate that you know who you would like to reach, say Dennis Manning to the automated system, and get sent to Dennis Manning’s voice mail.
That’s right!
Outside of regular business hours, you can leave a voice mail that will be heard by Dennis Manning, the President and CEO of Guardian Life Insurance Co and one of our country’s bigger A$$holes, and tell him what you think of his company’s move to increase profits by eliminating an entire “product line,” the one that specifically includes Ian’s policy, from the State of New York, all because they couldn’t legally cancel Ian’s policy individually.
Knoxville, this is awesome! Ian is my brother, and I can’t tell you how much he (and my whole family) appreciate such support. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to also reach people to call for people insured by Guardian to not do business with them anymore. On Huffington Post, there was this post by someone: “I have emailed Guardian Insurance directly and my insurance rep, as well, and have told them that if Guardian does not change its policy toward Ian Pearl and the others, then I and my husband will cancel our life and disability policies with them and never do business with them again. I encourage any others who have policies with Guardian to do the same. One won’t make a difference, but large numbers will. What they are doing is heartless. What if it were their family member, friend, or even child?”

Matthew,
Tell your mother that many people are with you and your family.
I hope she makes sure that AHIP and the CEOs hear her voice and that they can’t ignore Ian. They need to see the faces of the people that they’re hurting.
I think/hope that this diary post asking people to call Guardian Life Insurance Co will appear tomorrow up in the “SEMINAL READER WIRE” on the front page of FireDogLake, where it will get more visibility.
When you’re sharing your thoughts on the customer comment voice mail, you might include in your comments that
Try to repeat “Guardian Life Insurance Co executives” over and over again, as these immoral people definitely will not like having their brand, their “name,” associated with such horrible behavior. There is such a thing as bad publicity!
