Sickening news coming from Washington’s Blog about claims from prominent chemist point to Corexit 9527(A) still being sprayed. And "Blackwater Type" mercs are doing the spraying.
However, Naman told me that he went to Dauphin Island, Alabama, last night. He said that he personally saw huge 250-500 gallon barrels all over the place with labels which said: Corexit 9527
And here’s the quote that set ME back on my ass:
Naman further said he saw mercenaries dressed in all black fatigues, using gps coordinates, applying Corexit 9527 at Dauphin Island and at Bayou La Batre, Alabama. The mercenaries were "Blackwater"-type mercenaries, and Naman assumed they must have been hired either by BP or the government.
Hard for me to dispute chemist Naman’s contentions, given he’s been featured pretty prominently in the news, here at FDL/Seminal, etc.
This is horrifying. It’s beyond shock, for me. I’m numbed. I don’t doubt it, I’m not surprised, but I’m numbed that it IS happening, and find it incredible that no one else has exposed this till now.
To close, I have one question for any Seminal folks with a research bug they need to use.
Didn’t BP buy out ALL the stocks of a Corexit product early on, or just before the April Gusher hit? And just what version of Corexit WAS it?
And what about all those stories back in April/May about there not BEING enough product on hand OTHER than the stuff they bought out?
In other words, the blog article I link to refers to Nalco MAKING more Corexit 9500 that’s been/being used. Even though articles back in April/May were saying, they couldn’t make it in time to help, etc.
Which leads me to ponder:
Did BP buy out Corexit 9527 versions, and another version (I forget the #) that were toxic and then pass it off as Corexit 9500, and being SAFER?!?!!?
All along they might have been spraying a much more harmful Corexit than 9500?
A Corexit they bought out completely from NALCO, wiping out that inventory?
A product they bought out CHEAP because it can’t be used anywhere else in the world, for the most part?
I gots me LOTS of questions on this one, Pups.
But I got to tend to chores.

But this revelation by chemist Naman is simply mind blowing. And phookin’ outrageous.
Someone should be held accountable for this travesty of evil. Mr. President.

Hey Larue, I made a few minor cosmetic edits to this piece as I hope it will get wider discussion. But I think the one thing we need to do is change GOM to Gulf or Gulf of Mexico as many readers won’t recognize the acronym.

So, that’s a BIT of the questions I have being discussed by others . . . nothing conclusive about conspiring to buy up dead inventory that’s banned in Europe or other parts of the world, to be used in The Gulf.
But damned sure more info to suggest that I’d sure like to know which versions of Corexit were bought, and used, in The Gulf. Because THAT question is still unanswered.
A scam could easily be working all this time, to use up dead inventory that’s toxic. And covering UP that scam would be BP and our President and his administration.
Hope other Pups will wade in on this. At this point, though, there’s NO doubt that BP bought up 1/3rd of world supply of dispersants in May or so, and most of THAT was NALCO’s Corexit.
And what I want to know is, where’s the inventory of NALCO’s Corexit 9527 variations, and pre 9500 variations, that were and ARE proven to be much more toxic than 9500.
And just what is that BP HAS been pumping into the Gulf since May? Which Corexit WAS it BP?

My contention remains, BP bought the inventory of Corexit at a CHEAP price cuz Europe for the most part banned it.
And NALCO had tons of it stockpiled, from WAY back in the early ’00′s (they were parnered with Exxon and THEIR chem div. before Nalco bought it all out), dispersants of ALL kinds.
Product available cheap cuz it’s worthless, BP has a need. All BP had to do was fool a planet with the shit they dumped into the Gulf AFTER they poisoned it by failing to follow good safety practices (and not get fined or booted by USA for doing so cuz they BOUGHT and pay for the politicians).
So, I dunna, I’m just livid a bit, once again.

We are drowning in the incessant and disgustingly overt criminal behavior throughout our system. Moreover, in the news on every single one of the crimes, there are downright lies, half-lies, cover-ups, and plain avoidance, combined with the frenetic spazzing of the right-radicals. The work required to actually delineate truth from fiction is a HUGE job on its own, as you all well know, much less the grinding heart-work of coming to personal terms with what it means.
When news appears that is as shocking as this, it seems often to come from the left-field (literally) and, from within the larger context, appears to be as outrageous and implausible as any of the other crap we’re fed. Moreover, people are terrified by this kind of news because it is horrifying, and they don’t know what to do. They are working overly hard to keep things going in their own lives and can’t find a way to absorb the far-reaching implications of such brazen immorality as is shown by this one story, much less all the others.
People retreat. I send receptive friends/family news that I view as important/accurate. A friend told me yesterday, “I can’t handle it anymore. I can’t handle not only what seems to be happening but trying to figure out where the truth lies. It is impossible. I must just take care of my own.”
People who swallow the BS are simply dissociated from reality, and most of the rest are in shock. How do we get out of shock?

Haven’t forgotten myself either, but have been recently focused, locally, on asking questions of campaign staffs of the candidates I might be voting for, for actual views and position statements on the nuances of the issues that I pick up here.
This whole thing is starting to remind me of the issues surrounding the use of Depleted Uranium as a material for bullets/projectiles.
If you have some hazardous material sitting around that nobody knows what to do with, and that may represent a very large liability because of the high cost of disposal, well, just find an illusory, but supposedly vital use for it, and just like magic, your hazardous liability has become a product that you can sell for big bucks.
Just as radioactive waste magically became incredibly costly weaponry, indispensible in our permanent war, and payed for by taxpayers, now toxic chemicals banned the world-over, magically become the best/only weapon with which to fight the gulf oil-spill, again at taxpayer expense due to the ability of BP too write off the expense of

Yeah, well….I live in Detroit and went down to Dab’l Beads this week and Dab’l told me that students from the architecture dept at U of Mich had designed him a building in which he could put all his African art collection, but funding for the building fell through and now with the economy….and he looked me in the face and said, “But I suppose if that had happened, I’d not have what I have here.”
And what he “has here” is a typically Detroit thang—a block of rowhouses completely graffitied and mirrored/tiled in front of a heavily painted sidewalk next to an empty lot full of found-art objects, painted cars, and pieces of buildings, at the back of which is a huge vegetable garden.
Another younger guy said sardonically, “Yeah, well, that’s sorry n**r shit for failure, ain’it?” And everyone laughed tightly and there was silence. So I said, ”That sorry n**r shit is the result of any person who has a very good idea and gets his head knocked off and has to deal with being ok with what’s left. And I know how that feels, although you people downtown certainly get more than your fair share of that kind of shit. I’m truly sorry, Dab’l.” And everyone relaxed and it was good.
It was good for everyone to have the situation recognized and understood, to establish what is true and what is left and what is likely able to be done. When I left, they gave me turnips from the garden.
