Lookin back thru the years, back to Libby Gate, smilin at it all.
Thankin the stuff that be, for Mz. Hamsher, her efforts thru the years, all the people involved behind the scenes, on the front pages, and of course, each and every person who commented then, and now.
There’s more I’d like to wish for in life, but I’m thankin all y’all one and all . . . for it all.
On we trudge, and hope for the best for ourselves and those who come after us.

Gobble! Gobble!
And beer. And football. The simple pleasures help keep us sane.
I am thankful every morning when I awaken! Who among you ever thought you would live this long and watch the world change in so many profound ways.
This place gives me some mooring. I thank everyone who comes here for that blessing!
In the words of our late friend:
No war but class war!
Thanks for being a clique member Larue.

Oh. My.
May I suggest that Kaepernick is gonna start, stun, and shock the NFL and he’s JUST starting . . . . we got ourselves another Joe I do believe.
Multiple rings, comin our way, I do believe.
Fleetwood Mac, the best lineup ever. Green, Kirwin, Spencer, and Mic and John on rhythm.

Bro you better believe.
Thank you TDFHbob.

Wonderful. Hiya Suzanne!
Excuse me for being curt. I was eating at the time and found expedience to be my best option.
Two things for you.
Sweet potatoes, Wild rice-from the natives in the midwest.
What would you do?
So glad to be here with you. Gravy, definitely, on the platefuls.
Mangianmo, or as we say in Paris, laisse-nous manger
Kaepernick. Heh! That may be, that may be. It would be fun to see a good Redskins team again. And I was raised to be a Cowboys fan, though I couldn’t stand Barry Switzer and switched to the Broncos back in the days when I lived in the Denver area.
Football teaches some of us a lesson of change and adaptation. For example, I was never a Peyton Manning fan before, but I think I can get used to that :) I don’t agree with John Elway on anything political, but trading Tebow to the Jets was a masterstroke.
Anyway, every website should have at least one Happy Thanksgiving post for everyone who participates, and you have my thanks for posting this one, Larue.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here at the FDL. And larue, you nailed it for your outstanding mention of Jane Hamsher and the Staff, and who invariably never get the “shout out!” for their hard work.
Now, as to the “recipe, I will have to think about that, given that the Sunday Food Day, keeps my attention properly focused on “What’s Important and not Who.”

Happy Thanksgiving!
And may we all send our thoughts and prayers to the many hit so devastatingly hard by the hurricane, foreclosures, eco-disasters, long term unemployment and the lack of food and health care.
It’s a blessing that we’re provided a place to write about the subjects near and dear to us as we try to right some of the wrongs being done to us.
Have a good holiday, Larue and everyone.
This is my very favorite holiday of all the holidays there are – I was introduced to it by our Irish landlady in San Francisco in 1956 soon after arrival under the Golden Gate, so all my American experiences begin as a teenager in those very golden days at her turkey table. Wonderful feast! Wonderful America! May it be for all!
Thanks to you, LaRue, and especially to all the FDL cast and crew; kiaorakatoa!
Thank you, Larue! Always so happy to see you here. Hope you are having a fine Thanksgiving day.
Indeed!
Cook em and eat ‘em!
Peel the ‘taters, boil in chicken stock with some wine, garlic and herbs.
Mash them with butter and roasted garlic, season to taste. Add pesto to the mash if ya like that, I sure do.
Wild rice? Cook with chicken stock, veg stock . . . depends if ya want asian, italian, mexican, Indian flavoring . . . I’m fond of it all!
Hope that helps . . . kinda left it wide open I guess I did . . . lol
Ruth, Christine, SUZZZZZ!, Masaccio, Elliott, Jaango, Homer, Juliania, Wendy D, Mz. Hamsher!, Kelly, OttoG, Margaret, PW, Twain, Tarheel, Ohio B, NonPlussed, . . . and any others I might miss.
It’s always a delight to read your fonts, learn from your comments and diaries, share the joy and the pain and all that life has for us.
Best to all . . . very special people, at this Lake . . . each and every one. Thanks for being here.
Now get off the computers and mangiamo!

MOST, indeed. Well put WD.
If you don’t mind, where you coming from? Sounds like a nice beginning.
