Just a reminder to everyone not to freak out over the mass media’s propaganda on the Swine Flu story.Consider this….Last week and the week before Clinton and Obama visited Mexico…amid huge stories of shootings on the borders…requests for US troops by Perry on the border…a huge economic crisis…and…and…and…the story of the week…the possible prosecution of the Bush Administration for war crimes or violations of federal law regarding torture.
The Swine flu pandemic fear-mongering has taken Torture off of the news cycle. Heads up. Now…all we’re hearing is that we’re all gonna die from swine flu any minute…chill out for now, because as usual..the numbers will fluctuate and this will most likely all blow over.
Once again, we are back in the "buy duct tape" era of fear…with a lot of misinformation. I’m a skeptic and will be labeled as a CT, but come on….go Google swine flu during the Reagan era (ummm…can you say "Iran Contra" news diversion era) and how the drug companies would profit…Oh…and if you Google it now, you’ll see that companies’ stocks have risen hoping to profit by this BS…including Rumsfeld’s "Tamiflu"…Gimme a break…
I call major swine shizzola on this whole story.

I hadn’t looked at it that way, but it does make perfect sense. Divert the public’s attention away from BUSH’S War Crimes to an Outbreak that could wipe millions of us out and BUSH’S crimes take a back seat. “We’ve Got Bigger Fish To Fry Now! We’re All Going To Die!” Sneaky … Sneaky … Sneaky!
And might I add the BIGGER focus SHOULD be on how this MAN MADE VIRUS was created, by whom and for what REAL purpose? And how Ironic that Big Pharmicutical already has a drug to combat it with!
Is there no end to what our Government will do to it’s people? We are a disposable commedity to them. Can you say POPULATION CONTROL? And what a better way to slowly impose MARTAIL LAW and RESTRICTIONS ON TRAVEL and God only knows what else they have up their than through FEAR? As far back as History goes. The Powers That Be … be they a Government or Organized Religion, control the masses by FEAR! 9/11 scared us all into giving up so many of our rights, mainly our right to privacy, followed by our right to BARE ARMS and so on. Everybody has an opinion and I am not afraid to express mine WHILE I STILL CAN! Personally, I think what happened on 9/11 was organized and carried out by our OWN Government. What happened on 9/11 plunged this Country into such a state of panic that we would have given our left arm to ensure that we would be safe in our own Country! Hence came the Patriot Act, which by the way, very few people bothered to even read … opened the door to create HOMELAND SECURITY, which, by it’s deceptive wording could make any Law Abiding Citizen an ENEMY COMBATIENT … immediately stripped of all of our rights, held in an unknown location for as long as “THEY” so desire to detain us, without a right to counsel or any contact with our family, tortured if they so desired to do so without having to answer to anyone. My God People! Open Your Eyes Already!
And why is it that NO ONE questioned WHY, during the BUSH years, no one ever saw Dick Chaney … Ashcroft and a long list of others. Chaney Should have gone to Prison for the crimes he committed in connection with ENRON. The other involved went to Prison and Chaney went to the White House!
And something else I found strange … Am I the only one who noticed how many of Bush’s top people resigned effective immediately within days of Bush being re-elected as President for another 4 years?
Bush is a WAR CRIMINAl and should be treated as such, but I read somewhere just yesterday that President Elect Obana signed something protecting Bush & Chaney and preventing them from EVER being tried as War Criminals or even having to answer any questions related to ANYTHING … ANY OF THE DECISIONS he made while in Office.
Am I the only person who is outraged by all of this? And I am mad at myself too because I voted for Obama and no sooner did her get into Office did he start doing the exact opposite of what he PROMISED he was going to do!
People … go to http://www.youtube.com and watch ‘The Obama Deception’. I cried as I watched this. I had a total mental overload! We have been sold out big time! The things the Obana Administration has in store for us are unthinkable … and we welcomed this man with arms wide open. I could go on, and on, and on, but PLEASE, go check it out for yourself. Not that there is anything we can do about it now, but at least when these things start to happen, you won’t be blind to them. Nobody likes feeling like a fool, but we HAVE been fooled and in ways I never would have thought possible in America.

Thanks LS. This story went from zero to hysteria in nanoseconds. I’m not given to panicking on cue and if BushCo taught me anything it is to distrust hyperbolic stories in the MSM that displace stories of lawbreaking by political officials.
My understanding is that the difference between the bird flu and this swine flu is that this one has been spreading human-to-human.
There is cause for concern – though I agree that the media handling of it is a bit over the top.
Were public health resources cut during the Bush years like everything else? Because you are going to need public health resources and expertise.

April 25-26, 2009 — SPECIAL BULLETIN. New swine flu feared to be weaponized strain
According to two mainstream media journalists, one in Mexico City and the other in Jakarta, who spoke to WMR on background, they are convinced that the current outbreak of a new strain of swine flu in Mexico and some parts of the United States is the result of the introduction of a human-engineered pathogen that could result in a widespread global pandemic, with potentially catastrophic consequences for domestic and international travel and commerce.
The journalists have been told by top officials of the United Nations and the World Health Organization (WHO) about the grave dangers posed by the new and deadly swine flu strain, known as A-H1N1. The flu, never before seen by scientists, has already killed up to 68 people in Mexico and has forced the cancellation of public events, including sports matches and concerts, and the closure of schools, libraries, and museums. Eight cases have been reported in Texas and California and one Texas family is already under a quarantine. Doctors are examining several students at a Queens high school in New York who displayed symptoms similar to those experienced by swine flu patients in Mexico.
Our Mexico City source said a top scientist for the United Nations, who has examined the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in Africa, as well as HIV/AIDS victims, concluded that H1N1 possesses certain transmission “vectors” that suggest that new flu strain has been genetically-manufactured as a military biological warfare weapon. The UN expert believes that Ebola, HIV/AIDS, and the current A-H1N1 swine flu virus are biological warfare agents.
Past swine flu outbreaks have been spread from pigs to humans, who then passed the flu on to other humans. However, with A-H1N1, there have been no reported infections of pigs. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), A-H1N1 has gene segments from North American swine, bird and human flu strains and a segment from Eurasian swine flu. Costa Rica, Brazil, and Peru have issued alerts to check all incoming passengers from Mexico at border crossings, airports, and seaports for symptoms of the swine flu.
WHO is convening an emergency session of its top medical experts in Geneva and is set to declare H1N1 a “public health event of international concern.” It is reported that WHO will recommend travel restrictions to and from areas where the flu has been reported, including Mexico City and the states of Mexico, Hidalgo, San Luis Potosí and Oaxaca.
Our Jakarta source said WHO officials are afraid that the presence of gene segments from dreaded H5N1 bird flu in the A-H1N1 swine flu strain could mean that the new swine flu strain was engineered to “jump species.” WMR has been informed that the CDC and U.S. Army dug up the body of an Inuit woman who died in 1918 in Brevig Mission, Alaska from an outbreak of Spanish flu. The influenza pandemic that year killed up to 100 million people worldwide in an 18-month period. Brevig Mission saw 72 of its 80 residents die within five days, the worst case recorded anywhere in the world. WMR has been told the genetic material recovered by the U.S. government from the corpse of the Inuit woman provided the basis for the development of the H5N1, or bird (avian), flu strain at the U.S. Army Medical Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) laboratory at Fort Detrick, Maryland, the point of origin for the Ames strain of anthrax used in the 2001 bio-war attacks against the U.S. Congress and the media.
The fear in Asia is that if the A-H1N1 pandemic spreads to the United States, travel to and from the country will be all but shut down.
The following are the symptoms associated with A-H1N1:
* cough
* fever
* sore throat
* shortness of breath
* muscle and joint pain
The drugs Tamiflu and Relenza are seen as the most effective against A-H1N1.

I too, thought this was a bit too convenient. And what a good excuse to let Calderon do a little takeover while they’re at it. I also hearkened back to all the lolly Rumsfeld’s avian flu scare generated for his company.
So, I remain skeptical at best, conspiratorially minded at worst.
The “fear in Asia” may be well founded and the entire country shut down, including the internet ala Jay Rockefelle’s convenient and VERY secretive bill in the Senate that nobody’s talking about….anywhere. NSPD 51 is still not rescinded, so, we could be looking at a true police state move by our fearless leader. Watch for further developments.
