No, it’s not the one with Sarah Palin babbling cheerfully in front of a guy killing turkeys. No, it’s not Obama’s speech in Chicago on the night he won the election. No, it’s not the guy flinging shoes at Bush.

In honor of Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, Ramadan, and Solstice—and any other celebration I haven’t mentioned—I hereby declare "Where The Hell Is Matt 2008" to be the finest viral video of the year.

We’re in the middle of an economic depression that threatens to be worse than the one our grandparents survived. We’re facing global warming, violence everywhere, and a constant barrage of gloom and doom from the idiot box.

On this particular holiday, which is Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, how about we all celebrate the world we live in and the vast and glorious ways in which we are all different, yet all the same. This video reflects that in the most joyful and amusing way. My personal favorite moments are the ones with the children, the beautiful dancers in India, and the hilarious one with the dancers in Papua New Guinea. Enjoy. And, remember…for all that is wrong in the world, it’s still a beautiful one.

Merry Christmas. Happy New Year. Glorious Hannukah. Happy Kwanza. Blessed Ramadan. To all of you.
