Good morning catterfolk! Pull up your cat for some kitteh-chat! Poor Kuroneko had to deal with a thunderstorm all by herself while I was at work on Tuesday I think. Then round two occurred after I got home. She’s not the best at dealing with loud weather, poor thing. She intrepidly went behind the washer and the dryer though and bravely hid from it. Then last night it got cold and I had to turn on the furnace so she moved into the bed with me. This morning when she demanded to be let out, she sniffed the air for a bit, gave me a dirty look and came back inside. She’s been a little cross with me ever since, refusing to even share my egg. Oh well. I guess I shouldn’t have missed Choosing the Weather 101 in college. Here are this week’s photos with further ado:
Kuroneko picture of the week. Here she is, glaring at me from her winter home in MY bed. I guess if I want a nap today, it will have to be on the sofa!
Obligatory cute kitten picture of the week. This one by way of Icanhazacheezburger?
Here is a video explaining exactly why cats are better than dogs, courtesy of Elliot. Thanks Ellie!
Please stop in and share your kitteh stories and pics with us. If we are really lucky, maybe the SouthernDragon will stop by and give us an update on his tribe with a Namaste thrown in. Whatever you do, I hope everybody has a wonderful week ahead and please remember to set time aside to spend time with whatever animal(s) share your life.

Hello and good morning. Hope to see you guys in the comments.
Hey Margaret!
Great pics and hysterical video. “These dogs are drunk and have no license…” MsCE’s cat, Vivienne, has moved into the new house, so no pets here. Kinda lonely, and still miss my old Elvis guy (RIP buddy).
Hi Margaret,
Thanks for posting the diary. Mcat seems a lot more active in the cooler weather. She’s followed me around the outside chores route (garden stuff mostly) at a distance, all week. Calling her to come along and she sits there as if disinterested. Walk ahead and glance behind and she quickly sits as if I don’t notice that she is not in the original spot. LOL. Ms Curiosity.
Absolutely gorgeous fall day, prime foliage colors, 50 F, light winds. We were spared the first hard freeze overnight.
Yeah, I still sorely miss General Hood…fully twelve years later.
Hey nonquixote. Kuroneko is also more active in the cold usually. By that, I don’t mean she spends more time being awake but spends more of her awake time being in a frenzy of activity.
Caturday!
Hi Ellie. Thanks again for the funny video!
OK catizens, I have a question for the group. Hopefully someone has a suggestion or two. Its gotten cold to the point where the heater has to be used. When the heater comes on the feline mistress starts yowling her head off and acting scared (she hides, is not her playful self, and just in general seems off her game). I’ve done the obvious thing – replaced the filter and checked the CO level, but beyond that I can’t figure out what is bothering her. BTW the same fan is used for A/C. The only thing I can come up with is the gas burners are causing the agitation – maybe introducing a noise that’s not there when the A/C is running. We are having our annual inspection by the furnace company in about 2 weeks, I’ll mention it to the serviceman (he’s probably heard of it before). I’ve looked on several sites and really haven’t found a satisfactory solution. She may just need some time to adjust. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Hmmm, that’s a tough one. When I start the furnace, Neko does a lot of sniffing of the air. I was assuming that she was smelling the cobwebs and insects that had moved in over the summer being crispified. Does she keep the yowling up over several days?
New kitteh? Or, were reactions the same last year? My hot water baseboard registers warm up and someone parks herself up against them at times, when it gets exceptionally cold out side.
Why we are outside most of the time, today. Soaking it in, so to speak. I noticed that I had set the camera to the landscape mode and I usually like to get a sharper focus.
A hot chicken/veggie soup break and then on to a brief visit at the senior center with Mcat. Nice to get into the autumn routine. Take care, will look in here later.
Very pretty indeed! Thanks for sharing.
Trust me. This relates to cats (at the end).
It’s coolish here in TO, 8C (=46F). I have changed into the long pants and on my bike trip to the store today I was grateful that I had stashed a pair of mini-mitts in my jacket pocket. The cats are rediscovering the indoor sleeping places and Cutie-Baby has been bedcatting for over a week. Not under the covers yet, though. She has a really loud purr and tho when she falls asleep she does stop puring, she often snores. It sometimes keeps me awake, but I remember how much I missed a bedcat during the summer and can be content.
Little Kitty, the world’s cutest small cat ™, is sitting my desk looking out the windows. Mostly it’s just people out shopping or on their way to/from church, but you never know, there could be a bird. Without warning, just a bird, right there. She is sitting in the spot that my dear Hatshepsut of happy memory used to. Perhaps I will put a kitty basket there. I did that with Hattie to keep her off my papers, but of course I had to tell her firmly that she was not to sit in that basket under any circumstances.
Hello to Kuroneko, and hugs for the t’storm. I have explained repeatedly to mine that yes, I *do* control the weather, but only in a limited area, which is called ‘inside’.
wonderful photos there
lol! I’d never seen that one
At some point, I have to turn on the c/a air heat, but that hasn’t happened yet, as we are Thank Cattess, just now experiencing coolness, and you remember that I have not use the central air for Air-Conditioning Cold all summer, there will be more cobwebs, I’m thinking.
I have to open the windows and doors or the smoke dust and perhaps cobwebs always sets off the smoke detector. It’s a really loud screech that would set any two legged or four legged creature.
So, I choose to to that during the day, while it’s comfortable enough outside to have all that open.
It’s one of those Autumn rituals.
You are such a patient Mama to Neko.
A match made somewhere Beautiful.
This was my first day for heat….I like the smell.
Since I am outta the cat crowd, I am usually here only briefly.
I do wonder if Ecahn has been among “us” recently, or if some one how she is doing. I’m sure I have not seen her in quite sometime.
Someone forwarded this to me yesterday. Lioness rescuing her cub.
Ah, the weather, it is definitely fall. I will stay to finish my coffee and then tackle the back windows (4 French doors). This may be the last time to wash them, what with the cold and rain that can be a Toronto fall.
Also, happy Thanksgiving everyone! It’s always second Monday in Oct here in Canada, which brings it much closer to actual harvest in this latitude. Our farmer’s market is Mondays, holiday or no, so I am planning to go early, bring home the harvest and cook it. We will be picking up our monthly CSA box from Fieldsparrow Farms as well, perhaps we will parade all the shopping in and sing appropriate songs.
None of the current kittehs here much care for people food (in contrast to Hattie, a short-haired tortie, known as the counter-top hyena) which is pleasant, actually. May break some gooshy food for a Tksgiving treat, though.
Come to think of it, a lot of what I have to be thankful for is cats and things they have done for me.
Yuk, that was to inquire if someone here may know how she is doing. Thanks. B
Happy Thanksgiving…it is really my favorite holiday. Enjoy, esp. those cats and their winsome ways.
Yes, I have been wondering and looking too, not usual for her to be silent for so long (‘last active Sept 19) I have an old email addy that I will try, and I confess I have been checking the New Paltz newspapers online just in case.
I just hate it when people disappear. Makes me feel lost.
Neko! Hope that couch is comfy, cause the bed is occupado until further notice. Hee.
Mr. installed a wood beam to support the porch roof where the porch railing used to be, and the support for the railing was used as a kitteh scratching post before, so we’ve got to figure out how to accommodate kitteh claws on the new post. I want to wrap the posts in sisal to make a proper scratching post. A contractor suggested we wrap the post in stainless and paint it to discourage scratching, but I’m not sure I can do that to my cats.
Some one was asking after her last night, too, Econobuzz mayb? demi responded, but no one there had heard anything off-line from her.
Me neither. People do have a mind of their own.
I too wish that she is fine.
It’s not the smell, it’s the smoke detector going off. :)
I do enjoy the smell of a fire in the fireplace, but we’re a while away from that. It’s so cozy-making.
Thanks…Ive have done that search in other cases myself….it’s an odd pursuit. Maybe we will hear something.
Ah! If you want them to scratch it, wrapping in sisal or what I use is cotton sash cord is nice-looking, easily replaceable and doubles as a makiwara.
If you *don’t* want them to scratch it, try studding it with upholstery nails. I have done this with a cedar post in my house, studs done in a swirly pattern, and outside window frames in a straight-line pattern. Someday I will have to take the time to figure out flickr so I can post some photos.
I have one of those painted wood indoor signs in my kitchen that had bought for Thanksgiving, that has an image of, well they look more like chickens, and it says Stuffed With Gratitude, that I keep up on the wall all year long.
It reminds me to be grateful.
Well, speaking of window frames, the coffee mug is empty and the windows call. I’ll stjop back when I’m done to see what’s new. Have a good day, all.
A late Hi Yaz to you, Mcat, and the seniors.
You’re such a doll for doing this.
I am glad I made a phone call to the senior center, M’s former owner is off to a football game watching party with part of her family who are visiting. She is in her mid-nineties but still likes to toss down a beer or two during the game.
Thanks Elliot, this pic is immediately outside my desk window. In front of the mums are the yellow tulips at the end of the photostream and I am going out to dig those bulbs, compost that soil, feed, replant and mulch them.
Hi demi,
A lot of comments to sift through around here lately. Observe and learn is my motto on some of them. I hope you and yours are enjoying the day, too.
Yes, pics please if you can. That sounds pretty. Heh… wouldn’t want my sons to do a karate kick on the stairs. If I do sisal, I’ll not tell them about makiwara. I’m ntrigued by the upholstery tack idea…
Hey, caturdenizens, and our kind and patient host, Peggy!
I wasn’t sure there would be a Pull Up Your Cat today, so I’m really glad you stepped up, Peggy. I was planning a really busy day, today, so didn’t think I’d have time. Was going to do Siclovia, the bicycle holiday, where Broadway, a main street into downtown, is closed off for bikes, etc. I participated a year ago with two friends, and really enjoyed it. Missed the next one, and now this one, too.
Weather still in the 50′s,I think; cold front blew in last night. I still have a couple windows partly open, putting off heat (fifties? heat? pshaw! her yankee side scoffed.) But may haul out the electric blanket. Was chilly last night, except where Pushy leaned against my back, and for part of teh night, Squeaky was against my feet.
I’ve been sick again; one of those things we euphemistically call a “stomach bug,” and still feel weak and tired.
But I’ve been home most of 4 days, and the cats and I have all shared the bed contentedly (once the active part of the sick stopped). It seemed we all enjoyed that part.
Whew! gorgeous, nonquixote! Absolutely gorgeous. And the landscape photo…ohhhhhh…that’s the kind that makes me nearly cry every fall with homesickness for old (northern) homes. Sigh. (you note that I’m still here in the warm clime, tho;no snow tires, no new coat every couple years, no falling on the ice, etc….)
Hmmm. Didn’t realize eCAHN was missing so long…not like her not to mention if she is taking a break, or going away. A bit worrisome, yes. Does anyone know her IRL name?
The vagaries of life are often brought home to us…as if the short lives of our beloved 4-leggeds didn’t do enough of that. My boss’s best friend since 6th grade died unexpectedly on Tuesday; never regained consciousness after a fall, resulting in hitting his head. 57 years old; a lawyer I slightly knew, if only from seeing him around; a fellow nearly always smiling, chatting with everyone, doing good work. My boss was pretty stunned.
Ain’t that right!
In a little while, we’ll be off to walk through a Maze that was cut through a cornfield.
Pumpkin Patch.
Maize = Maze.
We’re going to take allergy medicine, really low-rate ovc stuff so don’t worry, and wear long pants and long sleeves and take an adventure. :)
Used carpet around a post works great for kitteh scritchers. When It’s worn through, just replace the piece of carpet.
Welcome though I’m sorry you’re feeling poorly. Hope you get better soon.
You’re always welcome even without a cat Rev!
Hi Deb! Welcome. :)
A friend’s sister just passed away, blood clot after knee surgery, age 54, (some other contributing factors, but… way too young).
I don’t worry about eCHAN, that woman seems to always be very deliberate and capable in choices as to where she wants to be and what she wants to be doing. Admirable, enviable.
Carpet would work too, that’s a thought. Cheap and easy, too.
Any more Neko pics today? She’s such a looker.
BTW, love the kitten fu v. feather toy pic.
I’ve talked sonny into going with me to the maise/maze. Gosh, I just checked my camera and it’s not charged. Mybadmeaculpa. Should I copyright that, heh.
Or, I could have planned to take a short video of the me-pov of the cornmaze. Coulda been fun for an Amaizing halloween thread.
Oh, well. (Still there’s time. Not wanting to Rush events.)
You!
Thanks for this post, Peggy.
For sure. The last time eCAHN was injured, she actually increased her blog time, IIRC.
Thanks Margaret, that video about “why cats are better than dogs” was pretty good. There are some people I’ll have to share that with.
Feel better soon, lady.
There is a festival with the same name in the next little township this weekend. Illinois tourists have tomorrow off of work. Lots of beer and bratwursts, roasted corn drenched in butter, being consumed. Out of town tent vendors and peddlers galore. Live music, visited a bit yesterday on the bicycle and didn’t need to park two miles out from the attractions.
Big opportunity for local clubs, churches and non-profits to offer food goodies to fund themselves for the rest of the year.
Here’s one of Neko helping me make the bed yesterday. It was going to be the Kuroneko picture of the week until she stole my spot.
Nonquioxte and Margaret,
Thanks for the replies. I just have no idea what to do with the kitty. She shouldn’t be punished or scolded nor at the same time rewarded for her behavior. I’ve had her for over 4 years. This is a first. Last year she didn’t do it. So I think its one of those things I’ll just have to give her some time to adjust to the heater noise. On that thought, time for football, a beer, and a nap. Maybe she’ll join me. LOL
Looks like she’s stalking your hand…
Caption: “Well?”
That’s a good one.
Thanks for the well wishes. Definitely better, but couch potato-ing more my speed than biking. Or walking.
I’ve done a couple hours of light dusting, tidying up…even tossing a bunch of old magazines -usually with recipes, sometimes literary journals–keep thinking I’ll recycle, sell to Half-Price, etc., but instead, they just occupy the coffee table.
Also washed the winter throws, etc. Burned some candles this a.m. to improve the still slightly-kitty-pee scent of the house. Would like to scrub floor, but probably won’t happen today.
Am starting to think I can handle part-time work fine, but this full-time-plus frantic running hither and yon may just be too much. Tell me again why it’s just fine to raise the retirement age? (I was so weak Fri. considered putting in my SocSec app even tho’ it would be virtually nothing. Four more years til my full-retirment date, but even then it will be less than if I can hang on til 70)
My back goes up just thinking about raising the age of retirement. My mom is in a similar position.
Heh – just saw the 3rd tag on this post…”Southern Dragon has been inexcusably absent.” Agreed! Though I’ll bet he’s enjoying his totally free Sundays.
OTOH, didn’t he say he was still sick, enough to plan a visit to the VA clinic yesterday? Maybe he got some meds that work but make you sleep. Hope so. Cannot afford to lose him. Be well, and namaste! to you Soutehrn Dragon!
(my damnably frantic last couple weeks caused me to miss two weeks of my yoga class, which we always close by sending healiing thoughts to the universe and ‘namaste.’)
Lemme see if this works (Facebook, but can’t find another way to link it)
Rats, link didn’t appear. Hmmmmm.
Also, came across this while looking for something else.
I dunno if he’s sick. I always miss him online and I miss his company. Hope you feel better SD!
Now that’s a cute cub!
I don’t know what she was looking at. It’s so hard to get a good pic of her because she refuses to pose, unless she’s only semi conscious.
Isn’t he?(maybe the leopard…or is it a cheetah?… cub will draw SD). I assume the tail belongs to cub’s mom, or he’d be flyin’ across the plain…
Hmmm. I’ve got two heavy, furry weights on/against my legs now that I’m stretched out on the sofa, with a clean lap quilt (made of kitty print fabric…it was a present) over my legs.
Smokey’s outside. He’s been in and out, as has Big Boy.
Big Boy spent one night here this past week. Thought he might last night, but he went out eventually. However, the biggie with him is that Friday night, I lured him into leaving the kitchen and coming into the living room. Not til I gave up luring and went to sit down (and doze off) in my recliner, though. Woke up, and there he was! A couple feet away, settled down on one of the two wide cardboard scratching boxes. (Smokey was on the other. He’s a bit proprietary about those, but he allowed Big Boy to rest on the second one).
I’ve got his bed (formerly Itsa’s, but he used it last winter) out of the garage and in the washer, hoping to put it in the kitchen and reassure him it’s okay to stay in with the door actually closed (if I close it lightly, he’s okay; close it all the way, he wants out). On these cool nights, he gives a clear impression that he wants to stay in and keep warm, but just…can’t…quite….do..it..yet.
I took a short nap on the couch because Neko had the bed but when I woke up, she was curled up next to me, purring her heart out. :)
Cats have more acute senses than we do, so it could be something she hears, smells or even sees that you don’t. And it could be something dangerous, like CO, or maybe just a squeaky bearing. And of course, it may be the wall that is unhappy.
Captionb: OMG, there really *is* a ceiling cat!
Back to housework now, want to get it all done today so I can just Give thanks tomorrow. And I found another reason to be grateful to da kittehs == thank you, Cutie-Babie, for getting off the down comforter to hork up that hairball, since I had taken the duvet cover off to wash it and not yet put on the clean one. Life is truly full of miracles if you know where to look. 8)
Ms tj, healing energy to you, and as you know, purrs are the best medicine.
Y’all got me concerned too about eCAHN so I sent her an email and just got back a response. She’s fine, just wanting to do things other than FDL.
Oh, so glad to hear that! Hope she’s enjoying those other things.
Hot Flash, Happy Thanksgiving to you! Funny pictures of cats and walls.
I feel her. I seem to have become something of a marked woman myself and everything I say is interpreted by some for harsh rebuttal. Thinking about taking a break myself, maybe a permanent one. I have strangers standing in a long line to treat me like shit, why should I seek it out? Maybe I’ll contain myself to cat posting.
Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for sharing your day with us.
Ah! Speaking of funny pictures…this just went up online. I actually had bought the paper the day it ran, and laughed a lot when I saw this
And now, I think I must remove the furry weights from my legs and go do some more stuff.
(btw, Peg, re Neko being curled up beside you on the sofa…see, she loves you!Bet she’d have made room on the bed, even.)
Hey! Apparently, I got logged out somehow while typing one last comment! When I pressed submit, I got the message ” you must be logged in to comment!” Aargh!
Anyway, was just expressing sympathy with Peg’s comment about wanting to stay away for awhile. I’m so busy lately I’m late to most threads, so don’t bother posting, therefore don’t get attacked. But the themes of some folks/threads/posts are upsetting/depressing.
Still, although there are other “Friday [e.g.] Cat Blogging[s]” around the webs, nothing quite matches what Southern Dragon started. I’d miss it terribly if it were unavailable for long.
And now, my legs are numb. Must.move.the.kittehs. And.get.up!
Margaret,
I was not intending to hog your post with my photos, but I’ve included M, resting after she had discovered some non-vegetative life moving in the dirt of the flower bed while closely supervising me with my garden fork. (Three Photos)
Not at all! I like photos.
Thanks, gw. eChan, if you check in, regards to you and the beeez. Not trying to intrude, just missed you.
I am so lowly here that I have not ever been a target, but I have seen some serious shit-slinging on Kurt Sperry’s thread (not by Kurt, I mean bellydancer (a ‘noobie’? a sock-puppet?). I have to admit that I don’t see BA or Michael C ever getting hordes of followers due to their abrasive attitutes, and if BA’s site was supposed to be a ‘supportive-webblog-in-which-to-communicate-and-organize/’ I totally missed any welcome mat. Perhaps they are outsourcing the ‘supportive’?
Anyway, I am keen on listening to about anybody on about any topic for as long as they make sense and are reasonably polite to others, but after that I bail. I am all for live and let live.
And now, I am losing the light and still have more chores, off I go to do them and will check in again later. Interesting conversation, all in all, and thank you Margaret for Pulling up our Cats. this is a nice mellow place to hang, plus kittehs. Oh, and cats.
Thanks for stopping by HotFlash.
(((Margaret!!!))) If I ever get to Austin I am *so* looking you up. And relieved abt eChan, thanks for helping put together the community that solved that.
what a fabulous looking cat you have there!
She is a sweetheart too. I am finishing some record keeping and she is in a similar posture, snoring away on the same green chair, different blanket, front paws in the air. I’ll tell her when she wakes. Thanks.
I so rarely have a chance to come here on Sunday, but I’m looking forward to reading everything later tonight if I have the chance. Margret’s story about thunderstorms rang a bell with me: I used to have a little female cat who was really afraid of thunderstorms. One night I woke to a bad one–when I found she was not on the bed I went in search of her. I trekked through the entire house and couldn’t locate her, only to find as I turned around to go back to bed that she had silently come out from some hiding place and had been following me as I searched for her.
That’s funny. Neko does that. Sometimes I can’t find her anywhere and then, nine times out of ten, just when I give up, I spot her out in the open, wondering what the fuss is all about.
Hola all you catfolk! I have been missing you, but my life has been teh hectic and little time for any frivolity of the intertubes.
No sign of the mamas and their kittens at the Black Hole today. It was very chilly last night, so maybe they have a new hiding hole that is warmer.
We had DOGS at Little Momma’s house the past couple of days. I am sure my crew will be very disappointed to uncover those scents on my stuff when I go home tonight.
Last weekend I came home about midnight one night with my guest from out of town and saw that nasty pit who killed my neighbor’s cat. I was not able to follow him to see where he comes/goes, but No Good is probably the correct answer.
Glad to see all the nice photos and good cats in abundance, plus also, all the catfolk. Thanks, Margaret for doing the post!
Thanks for checking in Barb!
:), Margaret. Last week when my college room-mate was visiting, The White Cat took a liking to her and to herself sleeping on the white bedspread by herself as it was the place that no other cat dared to follow, due to most all of them being of the feral persuasion.
I think she really thought she was going to finally be able to be the only cat, if only she would be whisked away in the suitcase. When A. left, TWC sat on the porch with her nose pressed to the glass in disbelief that A. was leaving without her. It was entertaining for me, but a crushing disappointment for TWC.
A. was pushing for TWC to have another name. Maybe if I change her name, she will change her mind about wanting another home.
I see nothing wrong with “The White Cat” as a name. After all, “Kuroneko” literally means “Black Cat”.
Peggy!
It’s been an interesting week, hasn’t it?
I just rented two movies to watch. So, I think I’ll take an internet break myself.
There’s always going to be someone somewhere wanting to bring ya down, or give you a lecture about how the universe really is, right?
Take good care of yourself, babycakes and Neko, too.
(I’m hiding, I’m hiding and no one know’s where…Ha)
Hi, guys! Popping back in after trips to library, grocery store, and garbage cans. My gang is finishing supper, including Big Boy, who turned up shortly after I arrived.
Hmmm. Squeaky is here on the coffee table/chest where I fed Pushy, who sometimes prefers it. she was desperately trying to cover his leftovers; tossing bookmarks and a catnip fabric toy over the dish. Then she turned around and began to what’s on the dish, instead.
Re: that hiding, then reappearing nonchalantly while person searches…Smokey’s reeeaally good at that. I will swear I have looked in every possible spot he could be, and then there he’ll be, in the middle of the living room when I walk back in…always in the open, as you say, so I have no clue where his hiding spot was. Pain the you-know-what.
Forgot to say “hi” to all the new visitors…bg, is your big sale over with, so you can relax a bit? Hope the feral kittehs are warm somewhere safe.
Hmmm. Seems like there was something else I meant to say…sigh. A senior moment? Naaah. I refuse to have those.
Thanks for looking in Deb. Enjoy those movies.
Yep! Kuroneko’s game to a “T”. Right out in the open, giving herself a bath and looking at me like I’m stupid.
Well, the weekend sale was over two weeks ago now, I think maybe we have sold/given away maybe a semi and a half or maybe two semis of stuff. We are still open to the public while we line up the big movers and scrappers. First my brother thought we had about 10 semi trucks of stuff, now he is saying more like 20, and I can’t measure it.
We had people today while we were closed, just cleaning up in the yard and taking a ton or maybe two (yes) of old photo chemicals (we hauled it out from under a building this morning) to the local hazardous materials dumping place. It is still amazing. . .
We had some video people there the whole weekend of the sale who were working for the local C of C, they just loved the thing and went whole hog, time-lapse video, filming the people and what they got, really a lot of fun. It was a hellalottawork, but good.
The liquidation story was all over the country, I think AP got something they sent out, so it was on NPR and in all kinds of papers, not sure if in print or just on line. But we are happy to see stuff going to the highest best use as much as we can.
It is still a lot of work, I’ll be back in Los Alamos in 2 days.
Also, Little. Brat.
Oh,wow, I’m sorry I missed the npr story…think I would have recognized it… photo chemicals under a building? Hauling them out? whee, that sounds like fun, all right…
I laid awake a couple of nights thinking about how we could get it done. Shit is heavy, can’t drop it (toxic, poison, caustic, etc), under the building can’t stand up. My brother is awesome, for sure. We did it together.
I’m about to hit the road back to the kittehs.
Nice to see you all, love to have the cats pulling up. Have a great week, everyone!
Good golly. That’s a lot of work!
Stay safe on the road, bggrothus! I know your kittehs will be as glad to see you back as we are here.
Good golly. That’s a lot of work!
Well catterfolk, I guess that brings us to an end of another Pull Up Your Cat. Thanks for coming by and sharing. Maybe next week SD will come and visit with us just for a little while. In the meantime, please be kind to all living things. We can’t get along without them. Oya!
Thanks for hosting us. It was a fine, fine kittyfest.
Thank you so much, Peggy, for hosting our Sunday Cat Chat.
Just got back from a nice long (slow) walk in the park. Brindle and me. And, of course Sonny, ’cause after the spill at the beach I don’t trust him. The reason it was slow was we waited every single time the four legged one wanted to sniff something. I told James it was like taking a 4 year old to Dizzyland.
It was excellent.
So you around and All Best to All Caturzens.
Sheesh, I meant sew you, no wait, say you, no, See You Around.
Sorry everyone has left. *waves to all of the leaving kittehluvvers*
Yeah, I’m late to the party today. Looks like it was good, Peggy!
Are you on an iPhone or something with AutoCorrect, demi?
Whatevs. Glad you had a lovely beach day. It has been a fine Caturfest, hasn’t it?
Nearly 100 comments…not bad at all!
Hi msmolly. We’re just wrapping up but that doesn’t mean you can’t stay and read as much as you want. Thanks for coming by!
Ooh,hi ms molly! You made my post #100! Wheee! Nice to see you! Were you away visiting grandkids this weekend?
I need to go, too, but I’m putting it off. Wha?
Oh…felt a poke in the back…turned to find Smokey curled up asleep on the cushion behind me. We are in winter mode here, for sure. Haven’t seen him there in months…last night it was on the cool wooden desktop…tonight, the warm cushion behind Mom. Who is warmed by the two others curled up against my leg. Oh, and I broke down and turned on the heat an hour ago. Oh well.
See yez all later…time to get ready for the workweek. Happy Caturweek!
Read it all. Lots of people stopping by to chat, and I love that. I had sort of a busy day, so just getting here after watching Sunday’s UP with Chris Hayes. A friend and I went to a couple of Builder’s Showcase homes that have gone up in a neighborhood we bike ride through so were curious about.
No, just a sort of busy day. In addition to the homes tour I mentioned above, I made another batch of roasted tomato sauce with some unexpected tomatoes from a neighbor. It’s easy peasy, and makes the yummiest tomato sauce, but you still have to cut up the tomatoes, onion, several cloves of garlic, some green peppers in this batch, and then oregano and basil.
And I swapped all of the summer and winter clothes in my bedroom drawers. Just lotsa little stuff and the day was gone.
That kinda happened to me too!
