So let’s see. Anyone remember 2006? Now let’s take a look at the most recent piece of vicious thuggery. They landed their commandos in international waters on a Turkish boat. (Never underestimate Turks they’re tough people when they have to be.) Now it transpires that contrary to the pack of lies that the Israelis first tried to put out that the two firearms about which there was such hullabaloo were in fact taken off the Israeli commandos.
Let’s spell this one out loud and crystal effing clear shall we?
- The commandos were illegaly landed in international waters on a boat owned and operated by Turkey.
- Unarmed Turkish civilians promptly disarmed two of the commandos.
- These commandos are the finest troops Israel possesses.
- "The finest troops that Israel possesses" (‘scuse me a minute bwaaaaaahahahahaaha). (OK sorry ’bout that) ("finest troops that Israel possesses" hnf hnf hnf).
- The terrified Israelis resorted to blasting around them in all directions not giving a flying fuck about the consequences. That includes the consequences to the thuggish apartheid state whose soldiers they are.
- This is seriously bad news for the Israeli military. They’ve got seven shades of shit kicked out of them every time they’ve invaded Lebanon. 2006 was a disaster they ran squealing back across their border as fast as their legs could carry them. And now, what now? Well we learn that the crème de la crème of their military can only manage to "win" against unarmed civilians with extreme difficulty.
- Anyone remember 2006?
If I were the Israeli high command I’d be urgently seeking fresh underwear, soap, water, and another job…..
"Finest troops that Israel possesses" bwaaaaahahahahahaha.
Anyone remember 2006? It’s déjà vu all over again

Aloha, Mark…! Martin is pissed…
Btw, mods can you fix this typo: “the packl of lies” Mahalo…! ;-)
Your right Mark…
Turkey threatens action; Israel on alert
That means the MV Rachel Corrie will make it to Gaza…!
And it all started here: “The medieval Israeli and Egyptian siege of the Gaza Strip has now entered its fifth year. It was on January 25, 2006 that the Palestinian people in Israeli-occupied Gaza and the West Bank collectively decided to democratically oust Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party from power. Like Hamid Karzai in Afghanistan and Ahmed Chalabi in Iraq, Mahmoud Abbas is America’s guy — which in many ways means he’s Israel’s guy, too. So when Hamas was democratically elected to root out the corruption that festered, burst and still oozes under Abbas, the Fatah militia trained and armed by General Keith Dayton – http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2008/04/gaza200804 -attempted a coup. When that failed, the great powers decided to collectively punish 1.5 million Palestinians (half of them children) for enacting their moral and human right — their right to vote.”
They left Malta last night, headed east-south-east.
Hi, Mark. Good to see you!
Thanks CT and typo fixed –
Yes Martin is pissed – he has to be the outrage in Ireland is intense I’m told.
You know back in 2006 I wrote a three parter on our old site.
Getting Inside Their Heads (Part 1)
Getting Inside Their Heads (Part 2)
and
Getting Inside Their Heads (Part 3)
Those guys just never ever learn.
Thanks ET
Yup. Can’t have those sand n*****s doing what the South Africans did and actually winning democratically now can we?
I wonder if the Israelis has the chutzpah to take on the Turkish Navy…? Considering the fact that the UN, EU, NATO, WH, etc, have all called emergency sessions…! ;-)
Israel’s military forces are weak. That’s why Israel wants to attack Iran so urgently, while it is still on a lower level than Israel in the nuclear department.
But Israel has got the ace in the hole, the nukes, which they can threaten to use on Iran, or some other area in the region, at anytime they feel threatened of losing. Israel knows it will be obliterated in a ground war, so it wants a nuclear war, and their current leaders are crazy enough to actually push the button, and kill millions of civilians.
Thank you mfi for putting the Israeli lie into perspective …
Israel’s zionist leaders have the mindset of “Us against the world.” So it’s “us vs. them” according to Israel. If America is beside them, so much the better, but they’re willing to go it alone. And like any isolated creature, it will strike, and lash out at its neighbors.
The situation right now is so critical. People in the west, especially Jewish people, must really start pressuring the state of Israel to change its ways.
From your thread…
Wow…! The Israelis had best treat them with kid gloves…! I’m sure they’ll make great witnesses and Complainants…! Along with the two German Bundestag Ministers…! ;-)
So much for that Al Qaeda/Hamas inspired terrorism tripe…!
They seem intent on doing themselves as much “harmas” as possible. (Sorry never can resist a pun)
Aloha, M’dear…!
It’s a shame that Cast Lead didn’t fuel this same international outrage…! One can only hope that this sordid affair will renew interest in the Goldstone report findings….!
No fair … laughing to hard to respond!
:-)
Were I any one of them – especially the notables like Col. Wright – I’d be refusing to cooperate. Having met Ann, I suspect she is going to give them far more shit than they will want to handle. They’ll send in some 19-yo in glasses, like they did with Noam Chomsky, who will tell her how much he (or she) admires Ann’s writing and courage, and how this isaall so unfortunate, and Ann will tell the kid to go play with somebody else’s mind.
From the GlobalPost…
Ouch! :)
*heh* I pity the fool…! ;-)
Aloha, Big Guy…! Are we keeping ya hopping…? *g*
A weakness for puns is one of my many character flaws :-)
Depending on how you look at it it’s very late at night or very early in the morning here. So I will bid all you gentlefolk a good evening. :-)
mfi
Aloha, Mark…! Mahalo…! *g*
Thanks for all you do.
I wish you were the biggest problem I faced these days.
Luvya, and the Cubs Rock!
if they’re still alive…..
yes, she is amazing. she was the one here in texas doing the organizing when cindy sheehan was at crawford.
The flotilla non-violent activists were divided up on shore. From either BBC or CNN I heard that some are being deported, some jailed for resisting, some are in camps that were ‘readied ahead of time’. About 50 refused to give their identities and probably jailed as well and some are hospitalized.
The international media have covered one side of this story. Here is another, per Amb. Oren.
Yes, having been assured that the protest was non-violent, the IDF came armed with paint guns, and carried side arms only for personal protection. The “non-violent activists” set upon them as soon as, or before, they touched down – first with clubs & knives, and with their own guns.
Israeli had offered to transship the supplies in addition to the usual daily shipments of food and medicine into Gaza and were turned down. The point was never to get food to Gaza, it was to break the blockade, which is a legal action against a belligerent power. (Firing 7,000 missiles at a neighbor can be considered belligerent, n’est-ce pas? I wonder how the US would respond if Mexico began attacking Texas in this manner?)
Having said all this, the Israeli response was stupid and counterproductive.
Here is an interesting take on the legality of Israel’s act of aggression:
http://www.commondreams.org/view/2010/06/01-6
Jump to the bottom (if you’re in a hurry) to see former British ambassador Craig Murray’s two possible scenerios.
Stupid, counterproductive AND illegal.
HuffPo reporting the Rachel Corrie is scheduled to approach Gazan waters tomorrow. Irish Times reporting Denis Halliday is among the activists on board.
By the way, I’ve got a DKos diary on those lies being debunked as more flotilla passengers evade Israel’s attempts to keep the international media from talking to them.
I don’t understand your point?
Peaceful people on a boat in international waters, legally where they are, under a legally flagged ship, who were already complying with a warship’s illegal orders to turn back – are set upon by armed commandos (note that none of the peace activists had any “back up” sidearms) who were rappelling down on them, under cover of darkness, having first jammed all ship communications.
There’s nothing “unpeaceful” about fighting back (without back up sidearms even) against an illegal armed invasion by commandos.
Lie.
Go look at the stills. The Israeli commandos were carrying assault weapons.
Lie.
The point, which you are sedulously trying to ignore, is that the Israelis attacked a foreign flagged owned and operated ship in international waters and that during that attack they killed civilians.
And spare us please the dissimulations of the Ambassador of the State whose soldiers have just committed the war crime of obeying an illegal order to attack a civilian vessel of a foreign power on the high seas.
The Israeli commandos obeyed a flagrantly illegal order and thus became criminals themselves. In doing so they forfeited the rights and protections accorded to soldiers who obey legal orders. They retain the rights and protections accorded to unlawful combatants.
