  • Is it possible that WaPo knows what the O administration believes because the O administration told it? After all, O told the WaPo editorial board that he intended to destroy SS. It isn’t as if there’s been a firewall between these institutions.

  • I think I’m hearing the death knell of the Democratic Party. If they are colluding with Republicans and the Right on these issues, is there any reason for the Democratic Party to exist.

Maybe the result we have is the result its architects wanted. If you are a MOTU (and a sociopath besides) what could be better than a poor, frightened, under-educated, sick population, one that’s effectively cut off from information that could help it make sense of the world? I think they have us where they want [...]

Cool. Seems to me ‘Flash Occupations’ are less vulnerable than camps. And maybe more flexible. (Some Occupiers have been good at using Occupations as teaching opportunities but not all. I think teaching should be one of the main missions of any occupation.)

I’ve often thought that the occupy part of the occupations is their Achilles heel. Gathering, speaking, teaching, holding seminars, roundtables, having information available, assembling and petitioning, entertaining, providing food, all could serve the purpose while avoiding many of the difficulties that camping involves. I think that, as a matter of principle, citizen petitioners should not [...]

You are a total failure as a person, an institution or a nation, if you are not out there doing your damndest to CONCENTRATE WEALTH. Also power.

I trust the budget committee works in a quiet room, the appropriate setting in which to decide who gets what, especially when rich people get more dough and the rest of us get hosed.

And the Democrats keep asking me for money. Why?

  • I think the American public is just ready for gay equality on all levels. Forward thinking people, those in contact with reality, and a good share of everyone else, is just so ready. In short, I think it’s more than fashionable. Except for a hand full of lunatics, and Barack Obama, everybody wants equality for gay folk.

Is this the most corrupt, the most vicious administration ever? Is it corrupting and poisoning the rest of the country.

I’m starting to feel like a slow boiled frog. They threw me into cold water and raised the temperature an itty bit at a time. Now I”m nearly done for and I’m just beginning to notice something’s wrong.

  • arcadesproject commented on the blog post The Remarkably Unlikable Mitt Romney

    2012-04-11 16:18:17View | Delete

OK, so Mitt is a rich robot. Is that worse than being a cynical, manipulative, treacherous, callous, lying dickhead? Like the Democratic candidate?

You know, Mitt is just ‘out there’. Hi. I’m Mitt. I’m rich. My wife is rich. My kids and all my friends are rich. When I’m president, we’re all gonna be richer. I’m gonna make us all richer in quiet rooms, where you’re s’posed to make rich people richer, you know?

And then on the other side, there’s O. ‘I’m gonna fight hard to see that Warren Buffet pays more taxes and I’m gonna cut your medicare, end social security and make the world even safer for securities fraud. But I’m gonna run my mouth in an uplifting sounding way and you are gonna fall for it because you are dopes. When I get outta here I’m gonna make a bundle and you’re gonna be permanently screwed. Hah. Hah.’

Vote for Jill Stein. Whoever the hell she is.

  • I expect that the transfer of wealth we’ve been noting at least since the crash will continue. It’s what the plutonomists want. Or think they want. We’re watching the death throes of a middle class consumer economy. Nobody, not even the people who are killing off the old economy, know what’s coming. Or if the new order can work. As an order.

We’re looking at renters instead of home owners, people with certificates instead of degrees, less upward mobility and restricted access to health care. (Even if insurance is mandatory, health care access won’t be.)

In my urban hellhole, corporations have taken control of the board of a public technical college. You can be sure these corporate actors will purge anything that smells like thought – inducing curriculum. I expect to see this sort of thing replicated throughout educational systems on all levels, all over the country. Plutonomists want passive, helpless, Fox fed drones. They’ve got a good chnce of getting ‘em.

  • There’s a flat screen TV Out There and on it CNN has O dangling the Buffet Rule in front of the middle class. ‘Look at that bright shiny thing-y Over There,’ he says. So we won’t notice when he kills Social Security and disables Medicare. Which, as many have well and truly observed above, are to be the center pieces of his legacy.

Is it possible that the revolution has already taken place? It was a stealth revolution brought about by the conservative long game that’s been played since the Goldwater defeat. The ‘government’ are a rotating caste of figureheads. Plutocrats wield all real power. The public thought the destruction of governments came with a certain colored shirt [...]
