it would be nice if someone acknowledged that the US Taliban prisoners at Gitmo were variously government officials or military personnel entitled to prisoner of war status which they never received.

In any case it is good to see that there will be an exchange of hostages including the US soldier Bowe Bergdahl who is being held hostage by the Taliban.
