I received the The Monkees first album as a birthday gift when it came out. Still have it. I enjoyed the music and the show because of the music. I guess you never think about people fromyour childhood memories as passing away. RIP Davy Jones.

I graduated with a Masters from Davis in 1985. I e-mailed the Chancellor yesterday morning and told her I believe she needs to resign over this. The top administrators always have treated staff and students poorly. There were demonstrations on campus back when I was there and I don’t remember this kind of thing happening.

Davis isn’t Berkeley but it has had protests in the past. I saw them when I was a student there. One of my brothers worked there and helped organize the United Technical & Professional Employees union and they had many protests all through the UC system. Part of UC’s problem is that they have Mark Yudof as system prez, formerly of the Univ. of Minnesota and Univ. of Texas. A bullying fool.

In an e-mail this morning, I wrote the Chancellor and told her I can not provide any more donations to UCD and that she needs to resign now. I went to the Davis Enterprise website and saw little, if any, support for her.
