Barcode1 commented on the diary post The Boston Lockdown–Is This REALLY Necessary? by Ohio Barbarian.
Someone in MSM mentioned today that the older brother was questioned by the FBI a couple of years ago. That’s all I know.
Otherwise, I’m glad you’ve raised this issue. I wondered about it all day as I watched events go down. I thought, “this is the real story within the story.”
Thanks.

Barcode1 commented on the blog post Senate Democrats Really Don’t Want to Govern
JC crimeanitely! Do Dems purposely cower to protect Repugs? In OTW, do they cower to protect the 2 party system that must be protected at all costs,in their dear hearts, so that we have no other relevant choices? Sure looks that way.

Frontline did a great service with this expose. Now it’s on the shoulders of Holder and Obama. Thank you Martin Smith. Waiting to see if anything comes of it.

Barcode1 commented on the diary post The “Cliff” by David Seaton.
You definitely stir things up Comrade Ludwig. I understand what you’re saying about myths, but, it’s the knowledge of mythology that saves me from the Christmas story. Actually, it’s very mind-opening to know the histories of mythology. I say, open up! There’s much to be learned.

Barcode1 commented on the diary post On Thursday night, the Tea Party took a principled stand against Boehner and GOP leadership, as they did against the Grand Bargain of 2011 by wigwam.
The baggers don’t want cuts to Social Security or Medicare either. Just ask them. Corporatists want these cuts – not baggers. At least that’s what I’ve read. And it fits with the polls too! Speaker Boehner may be a hero for the wrong reason but at this point, I like it.

Thanks. I’m joining with the Tea Partiers on this one.
A writer on truthout.org suggests Edited by Moderator. We don’t go that route for the next 30 years. Agreed on that too.

Barcode1 commented on the diary post Thoughts on the Chained CPI, Social Security, and the Budget by Dean Baker.
“The honest way to cut benefits is for Congress to explicitly vote to cut benefits, not to try to hide a cut behind a statistical manipulation. This is the sort of behavior that encourages public contempt for politicians and the political process.” This makes my blood boil, and I do feel great contempt for my [...]

Barcode1 commented on the diary post Susan Rice Payback by glossolalique.
I’m impressed with Ms Rice’s education, intellect, and savoir faire. She seems like a lovely person. I’m not impressed with her investments in petroleum companies wanting to complete the tar sands pipeline.
So, I don’t care that she withdrew. I’m happy! -
Barcode1 commented on the diary post Obama’s Administration is a third term Bush Administration by lakota.
Little Martha Stewart went to prison for insider trading! What a hoax in light of all that’s happened since then. Maybe she did what she did, but it seems so insignificant now.

Barcode1 commented on the diary post Willard v Barack, Game 1. Analyses: Excellent Kabuki, Network Profits, and the Truth(mostly) by Ohio Barbarian.
Depressing! Somehow I thought the Commission was independent. Hah! Yes, I’ve been deluded. It is Kabuki indeed. 60+ million people watched that hoax. This needs to be the last election period for Kabuki.

Barcode1 commented on the diary post Smoke…and the Great Social Awakening by wendydavis.
on the contrary dear Wendy, you wrote: “I’ve been doing a lot of reading about ‘Awakenings’ and the shifts of higher consciousness so many say is coming soon; many say this year’s winter solstice will bring great expansion to human awareness, psychic growth and the realization of connectivity among ourselves and the planet. I don’t [...]

Wendy, you have the pulpit. Use it. Hope, hope, hope. Hope is sometimes an obstacle! Always wishing, always hoping. Politicians makes puppets out of all of us, to always be wishing, always hoping. Let hope go if there‘s no immediate hardship. Live the present. Be fully alive. Awareness is our higher consciousness. It takes us [...]

“…and there’s nothing we can realistically do about it. The Economist”
How disheartening! A PBS Newshour guest, July 23, reported that 58% of Americans do not want gun laws changed. In a nutshell. It’s over.
Sad.

Barcode1 commented on the diary post Money did not get Scott Walker re-elected; betrayal by the Democrats did by Alan Maki.
Agree with you completely, and don’t forget the huge financial loss of Meg Whitman in California against Jerry Brown. I don’t believe it’s about big money, or Citizens United nearly as much as it is the weak-kneed actions by Democrats who have lost hugely since their big majority in both houses in 2008. They lost [...]
