barrelofmonkeys commented on the blog post Jon Stewart Takes On STOCK Act Repeal
My senator’s office would not tell me his position on this issue. Pretty amazing that my senator is the Assistant Majority Leader and Harry Reid introduced the bill. This was a “no fingerprints” bill. BTW, the senator’s office later described the concern as one of national security and said that they would send me a letter to that effect.

I thought that Mahoney was relieved of administrative and public duties. Apparently not, as I saw a video clip of him in Rome walking to the conclave and celebrating mass at a basilica in Rome. WTF?

barrelofmonkeys commented on the blog post Americans Overwhelmingly Oppose Obama Plan to Cut Social Security
Did you really think that you were going to get a full loaf? Here we go again–and I thought that his experience with Romney gave him a spine.
It escapes me as to why Obama is playing with social security, which is not entitlement spending, but a liability to people who have paid into this system.

Unless I am clueless, any plane or embassy is vulnerable. All it takes is a burning resentment and an RPG.

barrelofmonkeys commented on the blog post Rick Santorum’s Fantasy About Stewards of the Earth
False choice. Santorum may believe in dominionism, but this issue is not about dominionism or non-dominionism–it is about sustainability of the human race. Rick, sorry to say, you can’t go home again.

barrelofmonkeys commented on the blog post Republican Ron Hill: ‘Taliban Rick’ Santorum Sinks to New Low in Questioning Obama’s Faith
Spot on. My question is if Santorum accepts the church’s claim of papal infallibility and how he would regard counsel from the Pontiff.

I read that 28% of Catholic institutions are not even in compliance with the Church’s demand and presently offer birth control as part of their health plans.

barrelofmonkeys commented on the blog post Washington’s Catholic Hierarchy Attempts a Secular Argument Against Marriage Equality
Too much communion wine. The restriction on close-blood marriages is to avoid genetic disorders in offspring. In fact, close-blood marriages are a grounds for annulment in the catholic church, as well.
