The US has showed signs of exasperation with its European partners amid confusion over who will take control of the Libyan operation from America.

President Barack Obama and his senior commanders are eager to hand over command to Europe in a matter of days, either to a Nato-led command or some Nato-style operation headed by France or Britain.

Nato had been due to announce on Monday that it was taking over, but that had to be abandoned because of a dispute between the 28 member countries. Britain and France also appear to be at odds over which state will take the lead.

Nato members met in Brussels on Monday but have so far failed to resolve an impasse

wondering if, the last thing folks in power everywhere want, is for the leader of any nation state to be forced out by the protests of the people ? that I am thinking is not something sitting heads of state everywhere want to see go viral, for their own self serving sakes.

… so these guys I am sure we can all agree are “there” to protect us .. not sure we all agree that translates into having authority over us as well…
moving from the world of authority (Military or Federal Law Enforcement) and keeping that world view in dealing with “Civilians” seems to be a shift in gears these guys are incapable of making. In the Military and Law Enforcement the idea of individual rights in non-existent as a condition of employment these folks are subjected to background checks that are invasive with regards to privacy … wondering if they have given up their rights so easily without a second thought so often they think the rest of us should do the same

@It is a sad irony that in the TSA’s efforts to protect individuals from potential harm caused by terrorists, we are potentially going to give people cancer.
