Two things I would have liked to see him address:
Second, the hollowing out of the middle class since the 1970s, a phenomenon interrupted only briefly in the 1990s, means that they are unable to invest in their future, by educating themselves and their children and by starting or improving businesses.
This is, to large extent, whatr Republicans are scxreaming about: the people who “start or improve businesses”- need tax breaks. Does he mean tax cuts more focused than $400,000+? Say 250,000+ like originally frloated? or what?
2)Now, I just don’t knhow thye anhswer:
“Returns from Wall Street speculation are taxed at a far lower rate than other forms of income. Low tax receipts mean that the government cannot make the vital investments in infrastructure, education, research and health that are crucial for restoring long-term economic strength.”
Are gov’t tax recepts really ‘low”? Or is the problem that the priorities for spennding it are fucked up? Both? -

graduated a jesuit high school and college. i was happy she picked a jesuit school too- (with zero input from dad-her own choice) guy i graduated h.s. with became a jesuit, then left. i’ve known some good ones, very influential in my life. i hope she has the experience with them i did

i’m lucky. at their age I hated my parents. might be a little strtong. i certainly didn’t like them and or maybe disdainful is more like it. they had nothing to share with me or teach me. i thought. i’m pretty sure my girls don’t feel that way about me and mom.
