Correct, and intentionally implemented.
We’ve went from a society of citizens, to a society of consumers, just as those in power envisioned.
Conspiracy? I think so.
Read Democracy Inc. by Sheldon Wolin if you have not yet.
Peace out from Florida.

benlomand commented on the blog post Number Who Identify as Democrats Down Big in 2010
Obama has cured me of the Democrats. I first voted for McGovern, lost hope with Clinton and Obummer. The Carter years were good from my perspective, but trashed by most as lame or should I say, “malaise?” Whatever, they seemed to be the time of greatest freedom in my life. Live and let live. Then came Ronnie and his moral followers. Gag.
I will certainly switch my affiliation to independent and most like not vote at the Presidential level for some time to come, or until the end. I will not participate in the circus duopoly. How long can this shit last?
Peace brothers and sisters.

owwfno @ 22,
I guess your bank heist idea might serve you well. I understand fed prisons are far better than the state variety.
Hope you do not have to resort to that extreme however.
Perhaps when the shit does go down, a newer and more determined group of Gray Panthers will alter the narrative.
I believe it was on this blog somewhere that one said, “we must fight with the determination of our forefathers or we are doomed.”
I really believe that when push comes to shove, we the people will not be denied.
