Gee, it’s a beautiful evening here- 60 and breezy, with the remaining leaves finally fluttering down. And I’m outside Minneapolis- in MinneSNOWta! Doing this with someone else around is impossible- bye, all you wonderful folks!

Okay- so I read a lot into this sort of thing, but I think that Romney has been “talked to” or he wouldn’t have let Obama touch his arm without a response.

Here’s what the process of getting morbidly rich looks like: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2219240/Tar-Sands-Canada-worlds-largest-oil-reserve-173billion-untouched-barrels.html
After jaw-dropping over these, go check out the location on googleearth. -

Okay, That really bothered me. “The government isn’t good at bringing the cost of anything down.” (MR)
That is soooo untrue. Let’s just drop the “the”.
I just think how cheap our contractor military is and scream. -

I can smell the testosterone from here. Romney’s sunk into his old person smile. Obama’s pulling rank. I think this last-wording is going to continue. Jim! Use the Force!

Someone told Obama to cut the “ahhs” and “uhs”. Thanks, whoever. Ooh, was that a zinger? (“what he said was wrong!”)

“…none dare call it treason.”
Indeed. And if we factor in the LIBOR outrage, I have to ask: when one betrays one’s country, it is treason, but what is it when one betrays one’s world? -

What, no Harry Harrison? “Bill, the Galactic Hero”! Truly, a bitter tale for our times. On a side note, the core of the story in the “Foundation” and “I, Robot” books (by Isaac Asimov) was that the earth was ruined by careless use of radioactive materials, making it uninhabitable by even robots. Isn’t there some [...]

bko1 commented on the blog post Supreme Court Begins Oral Arguments On Obamacare
If the onerous mandate were to stand, does anyone think the people would be more motivated to go to the polls in the upcoming elections and vote for anyone who would either repeal it (they would be up against the insurance lobby) or force the obvious solution of Medicare for all? (Again- against the insurance lobby, but much more understandably desirable to the voters.)

Sorry that was so long, and I by NO means think any of the men here are angry, silent, punishing, underemployed white males. I do think some of us have become unhappy with Obama. BUT, just One More Thing: The Republicans lead better when they’re “out” rather than “in”. So is this rovian scheme going [...]

This seems as good a place as any to put this out there: Democrats and Progressives rue the lack of “backbone” and “balls” in their representatives in DC. Now, Liza Mundy was on The Washington Journal (CSPAN) this morning talking about her article and book “The Richer Sex”, which claims that women are overtaking men [...]
