Always thought Reagan had some kind of Eddie Bernays voice training, to sound authoritarian, protective, comforting, the father figure.

I have often pondered this question. Recently, the answer has crystalized into the realization that LABOR did not participate.

DFH can be seen as describing the rejection of Madison Ave. (commercial) grooming and attire: body hair, second hand, eclectic clothing, minimized cosmetics, etc. I think that for the DFHs it was something of a sense of pride because it was good dirt –back to the Earth.
Nowadays it is easy to think that it was all for naught, but I think the ground work was laid for what is happening now. Our true spirit is winning the day, even the military seems to have joined.
A curious anecdote (sorry no link): Hillary (supposedly) old her Chinese counterpart that the world had too many people. He replied yes, about one million too many. 0.0001%Ain’t No Time for the Worrying Blues: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQBR8YrQIe4

In days of old,
When knights were bold,
And rubbers weren’t invented,
Men tied socks around their cocks,
And babies were prevented. And while I’m doing sex education/history:

But, once a night is enough. -

This might help putting thing in perspective: How Greece Could Take Down Wall Street, by Ellen Brown, over at commondreams, today. Not sure if this works, but it’s close: http://www.commondreams.org/view/2012/02/20 It’s funny to see the ptw (powers that were) on the receiving end of what they were dishing out. They are less than nothing now. [...]

After a somewhat dark quiet winter, can you feel the return of spring yet? Though in these parts we usually get dumped on in March, still no bugs –many good, ney miraculous, things are germinating below the surface. It seems our love will save us, will provide the power, the help we need –saved by love. Check out David Wilcock.

Jane, such a heartful tribute to Katie and to yourself. I have dogs and know what it is like, not easy, but there comes a time. Last time, when there was no hope, I told the vet I hope somebody does the same for me. Life knows when, and that is for the best. So much [...]

G5 (U.S., England, France, Germany, Italy) going down. Rest of world doing good. I think there is a lot going on right now, e.g. Chinese VP in Washington (and Iowa). The military might also be involved in taking them down.

And the most radical solution involves how we feed ourselves. If food was grown with love and labor instead of for profit, people would be healthier, wealthier, and wiser.

cmaukonen, I would agree that mutualism is a factor in evolution, and that Peter Kropotkin was a great man. Thank you for bring it up. Furthurmore (sic), I assert that anarchy is the fundamental principle of Nature -so deal with it (learn what it means), and not be caught up in the Big Lie. Rather [...]

Didn’t catch the game, just the last two minutes of the halftime show, too much. What a plastic, in your face display of Illuminati symbolism, and hence the message. Especially, the end, where she goes “home” by dropping through the floor in a puff of smoke. Maybe that is why they are mean. Haven’t seen it mentioned around here, raising a red flag as to its significance.

blackbeary commented on the blog post If Religious Freedom Is Paramount, Let’s Talk About Sacramental Marijuana
Thanks, Jon, in particular for making this point, and for staying with this enigmatic linchpin issue in general. Yes, the sacredness seems to manifest itself in the myriad benefits, from medical, to economic, environmental, social. No wonder it is illegal. “Ceremonial Chemistry” by Thomas Szasz and “The Natural Mind” by Dr. Andrew Weil are enlightening.
Can’t prove it, but I heard a long time ago that in India it was considered inhumane to deprive the working people of their “ganje”.

blackbeary commented on the diary post Voting NO On The Truth by FeetToDaFire.
Sounds pretty radical, if I understand what you are saying, that democratic principles should be subject to the truth. The trick is to make reality into something it is not (perception is reality meme) and the extortion is easily accomplished. E.g.: Rick Santorum (winner of yesterday’s Republican primary?) says that government can’t give you your [...]
