Sorry, but I want something that also helps everybody. The banks were bailed out by the taxpayers, and I believe the banks should be forced to lower interest rates on homes and credit cards to no more then 2% for five years. This would certainly help everybody and the mortgage market. My opinion

Everything this guy says or writes on RedState just shows he believes he is more important then anyone else. If any Senator or Congressman writes him or calls him for advice, like he touts on his blog, they shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near Congress. Sorry, don’t agree with you on this one. I’ve read very little specifics, besides the Chained CPI on this. I believe politically, President Obama has stuck it to the Republicans by showing their incredible “we only care for the rich” philosophy. With the split and anguish coming from the other side right now, they are in a no win situation. We shall see but I see just the opposite.

I seriously doubt this is going to be a “low voter” turnout election. After watching what the Tea Party Republican’s have done in 5 short months and their call to End Medicare will get people out. Also add in what Walker and Kasich and the other looneys have attempted to do to Unions, you have a highly motivated base of people. Throw in President Obama spending upward of One Billion Dollars, there is just NO way you have low voter turnout for this one.

Jon, this first came out in 2009, it was proposed by REPUBLICAN Ray La Hood, President Obama’s Secretary of Transportation. It was dismissed quickly then, just as it has been dismissed quickly today. This story really has no traction but is all of a sudden being recycled.

This here is a HUGE opportunity for Democrats to make an inroad to an important group. I know, because I am one of this group. One of the reasons our group tends to vote Republican is the hatred shown to Law Enforcement by Democrats. Until some Democrats put yourself in our shoes, you don’t realize the pressure we are under, and the fear for our safety nowadays. Even a supposedly mild mannered situation can get out of control in a hurry and turn deadly. My recommendation is to turn down the rhetoric a bit and show more support for the men and women who really put a lot on the line for us. Turning us will give you a lot of support and votes.
