Great article about Colombia. Its a tough situation. On one hand I support labor laws but on the other I dont like the FARC or car bombs.

Broadstreetbuddy commented on the blog post Hollande and Merkel Meet as Greek Woes Continue
how come when the French have an election the new guy starts the next week. When we have an election we have to wait like three months!! Hollande hasnt even had the time to marry his girlfriend. And speaking of significant others, I am sad to see Mrs. Sarkozy depart stage left.

Broadstreetbuddy commented on the blog post The Roundup for May 15, 2012
I hope she turns on the heirs, Murdochs kids, because the old man will find himself in the Obits sooner rather than later. Im not wishing that on him but time catches us all.

Broadstreetbuddy commented on the blog post Obama, Romney Effectively Tied in Florida, Ohio
Wait how is Romney closing the gap on the strength of the economy question. He hasnt put forth any idea for getting the economy on track besides lowering taxes for millionaires and firing all the gay people!! WTF!

Broadstreetbuddy commented on the blog post The FBI’s Effort to Keep a Whistleblower’s Book from Being Published
You are right. I would publish the book. If the CIA has a problem and takes the person to court, the sales are more than likely to balloon. Either way a good legal battle should fall in favor of the author once its demonstrated that the “states secrets” arent all that secret now.
Long live the first amendment . . . while we still have it.

Broadstreetbuddy commented on the blog post Federal Judge Assigns Homework on Judicial Review to Justice Department
If this judge feels so disrespected, one can only imagine how the conservative part of the Supreme Court feels. I dont think this bodes well at all.

Broadstreetbuddy commented on the blog post Obama to Attack Ryan Budget Today
I thought the President gave a fine speech today, specifically calling out republicans. I hate it when this guy is always vague about the problems with the congress but today he was to the point and specific giving great responses to the questions at the end.
I guess the sellout of the base will occur next week.

Broadstreetbuddy commented on the blog post Supreme Court Day Two Arguments Concern the Individual Mandate
At first, since I have a decent job with pretty good health insurance i wasnt really thinking that the mandate was going to affect me. But then i started thinking what would happen if I still waited tables. There would be no way i could afford insurance. I dont think the mandate should stand up in court without a public option available to people who need it.

Broadstreetbuddy commented on the blog post Andrew Breitbart Dead
I saw him on the Young Turks last week, I think it was, he appeared a little on edge. I thought it was just nervous engergy but I wouldnt be suprised to find out it was something more.
As to being adopted, I am also adopted and the internal contradiction is very obvious to me but I still support a woman’s right to choose. I am very glad that my mother chose to keep me but every woman has their right to decide for themselves.
