As per “Tuning Out the Democrats” in Sunday’s NYT, voters support Democrat values but not Democrat politicians, who represent big government to them, and government is discredited. Only answer remaining is term limits for all legislators,and publically financed campaigns. This will only happen if we get off our duffs and hit the streets.

I’m agreeing. Better educated French and German middle class voters are more than willing to physically protest, yet the American middle class is too cool to take overt action, except for the “patriots” on the right.

I agree. the Democrats, including our President, are simply corporate lobbyists. They are just less openly aggressive than the Republicans. One way to change the Democratic Party is to reject their “centrist” candidates. Election reform is probably the only permanent way to change it.
