The vote, as you said was anti-austerity. Now if our dumb ass politicians would get that message too. Maybe, just maybe, November will be our “Springtime.”

BoxTurtle, I think your comment about small planes is right on. Good thing when that lightening hit his plane the other day, it was large enough to withstand the bolt.

All these large international meetings so soon after his inauguration, we are going to see real fast what kind of a man (or wimp) he is right from the get-go.
We all know he will be taken into the back rooms to work out special deals and as someone said earlier in the week, O will give him a ride on Air Force 1 if he plays real nice with Obummer.

She is going to remain at Kirkwood Community College. They have three campus’ and it is supposed to be the largest community college in Iowa.
EvilDrPuma could help me out on that claim however. Living in Illinois, I am not as familiar with the school’s size as I probably should be. A good question for my daughter when I talk to her later today.
The three campus’ have over 15,000 students as I understand it.

Back in the Sixty’s which tells you how old I am, I had a Counselor at Illinois State that advised me that if I wanted to teach my favorite, Social Studies, it would be best that I spend an extra year or so getting a Comprehensive Social Studies degree so that I could teach six subjects rather than be limited to two. I am forever grateful for his advice, because I only tried for two jobs in my career and got both of them because of the credentials to teach what the schools needed.

With all of the job searching about to begin, I am thankful our daughter already has a job she loves and can move to another dept. when she wants to within the college. She is committed to Cedar Rapids having bought her own condominium a few years back. It is a very good college and city imho.

Counseling. Cedar Rapids is even closer to the U. of Iowa.

She has been working at Kirkwood, the Cedar Rapids campus for the past six years and now will be able to move into another dept. at the school. She really loves it there. Indeed, a small world.
