They pulled the Kulluk off the beach! I guess we don’t get to watch another disaster unfold in real time. I hope we get to see the fines and charges for the USCG assistance rise in real time.

Oakland just had a gun buyback a couple of weeks ago. It was a huge success and quickly used the funds that had been allocated. Turns out that they were able to get the donor to double down from the original $50,000 when they realized the long lines meant their were plenty of people willing to take no-questions $200 per gun. $100,000 was donated to achieve this by the owner of one of Oakland’s four medical cannabis dispensaries- The Purple Heart. Just a little tidbit I thought I’d throw out there.

How this plays out with the city of Oakland says they’re fighting for Harborside, is anybody’s guess. -

For clarification, cannabidiol is not found in any appreciable levels in Cannabis indica, but it found in some strains of Cannabis sativa (this is even mentioned in one of the quoted sources). In fact, due to cannabidiol, or CBD, being non-psychoactive, it was selectively bred out of cannabis in the 80′s in favor of THC. [...]
