In that case, I think I’ll pass. I really like that idea, though. Kudos.

I’m a little concerned about the 48 stars. If I want to use the mug as an icebreaker to talk about Jill Stein, I don’t want to make it seem offensive by having a bad flag.

    Is it visible?

[I]f I were a republican, I would not be at all troubled by the prospect of another four years of a “liberal” democrat who has done miraculous rehab on the republicans and who has protected so much of their agenda.

I agree. I have republican friends who have been up-in-arms for the last 3.5 years about Obama in office. What are they mad about? He’s a “socialist”. To my surprise and consternation, I find myself in (silent) agreement with them. Obama is a CORPORATE socialist.

I’m more a fan of ProPlan, for dogs. Cats practically aren’t from planet Earth. Their food is different, they have to be prescribed different medications, they have those funky eyes, etc.

Plus, ProPlan never had the problems with tainted Chinese ingredients.

BTW, we’re ordering some “Jill Stein Stein” beermugs

    Yes. Just…yes.

Will they just say “Jill” on the front? I mean, it is already a stein, right?

Yes, and this is different than Iraq, so we can’t list this as a similarity to Iraq’s (former) situation.

No argument here. I’m just pointing out that Iran does in fact enrich uranium, and Iraq did not. I point out this issue to illustrate a real difference between Iraq and Iran. There is real and valid concern about Iran’s uses for uranium.

Inspections (of enrichment operations in Iran) seem like a no-brainer, at least as far everyone but Iran is concerned. All other courses of action are questionable.

Both wanted nuclear material and claimed it was for energy purposes

In the case of Iraq, didn’t that turn out to be false information from an Iraqi expat? Wasn’t it trumped-up to justify invading?

NOT that I want the US to invade Iran, but Iran is in fact enriching uranium.

Obama made all of his own decisions. He was a corrutp fraud right from the very beginning.

That’s true, and it is also true that he his part of the system. We (well, “me” at least) were professionally duped by him, his buddies, both big political parties, etc. It was masterful.

    Now, f#ck him.

Why would the media think protesters would make up the fact that nine people were missing?

That is a basic question. I’ll play devil’s advocate now, and answer it.

Because the claim about the arrest gives the protesters something to complain about. Because it lets the protesters claim to be victims of the police. Thus, the arrest allows the protesters to complain about a police-state.

Okay, done with that line of thought. I don’t think the protesters are lying.

It would only take a MINIMAL effort for the press to corroborate the protesters’ claims. The press just does not bother to do so, because they do not perceive any monetary advantage to such a story. Too much effort, not enough payback, so they don’t care.

Maybe Rmoney will propose that we invade Pakistan Iran!

    There, fixed that.

Romney is an ultra-BFF with PM Netanyahu, of Israel. If Romney is elected, he and Netanyahu will do some fun things together.

    There’s this, too:

Hanauer’s talk “probably ranks as one of the most politically controversial talks we’ve ever run, and we need to be really careful when” to post it, Anderson wrote on April 6. “Next week ain’t right. Confidentially, we already have Melinda Gates on contraception going out. Sorry for the mixed messages on this.”

WTF? Contraception + income inequality = too much controversy?

If they added a talk about alternative energy, they might cause Armageddon!

    WasTED conference.

I think the specific political term is “fucking retarded”. They use that term in the White House, you know.
