chitowner commented on the blog post There Always Seems to Be an Unnecessary Corporate Middleman
“It seems using corporate middle men to address problems is actually how Obama thinks our government should operate.”
Yep, another corporatist solution, just like handing the program for underwater homeowners over to the banking thieves, who finished screwing those families and put them on the street – all at more government expense. Maher said it best: Too bad a Democratic president keeps employing Republican policies. But that’s what elite, ideological corporatists do.

Total aside. Once knew a woman who did the tour and she was, sadly, a severe schizophrenic by that time.

chitowner commented on the blog post Michael Mukasey Doubles Down on the Sophism
Mukasey sold his soul after his first day of confirmation hearings. His answers to questions on day one pleased Dems, but apparently offended Bush/Cheney. On day two he contradicted answers to questions he gave on day one. He had a decent judicial reputation till then. Now he’s just an old, discredited, neo-con fart without a soul.

I’ll toast to scabies for whole lot. Cheers.

Obama caves again. Good. Now, I want proof he’s a Democrat – and has balls.

chitowner commented on the blog post Obama’s Budget Promises on Bush Tax Cuts, Drug Price Negotiation Ring Hollow
Hollow is the right word, Jon. To me, of all the broken promises, these two hurt most. Trillions would have been directed to balancing the budget and managing health care costs through Medicare. The latter alone would have served to more clearly demonstrate in a short time the value of public over private health insurance and win support.

Ginny is one bigoted old biddy and seems proud of it.

chitowner commented on the diary post When the Socialists and Anarchists Came to Town in 1912 by valatius.
Thank you for this post. Far too little is spoken now of the struggle for human dignity and fairness in the workplaces of America. Elitists, including those posing as Democrats, have managed to bury and distort the past, demonizing unions to the point that even many in the middle class reject them – thanks in [...]

chitowner commented on the blog post OFA Tries to Get Supporters to Write Letters to the Editor Praising a Federal Worker Pay Freeze
Yeah right. Get the middle class to screw themselves like Republicans – the newest fake version of which is Barack Obama – have been preaching for decades. Eat shit and die.

Brilliant choice for change from the Obama administration: Another authoritarian ideologue blind to facts and reality.

chitowner commented on the blog post DADT: A Political Disaster Entirely of Obama’s Making
Well said Jon. Boils down to conviction and guts. Obama has neither. The silver tongued elitist has sold out gays and the entire middle class to status quo corporatism.

chitowner commented on the blog post Obama Again Admits His Health Care Law Is Republican, Not Progressive
Not really news. Been apparent since May ’09 he’s a Republican at heart. Actions taken on justice, war and health care fit that mold to a tee. No more evidence needed.

chitowner commented on the blog post Pelosi Poised to Return as Minority Leader
Hope she stays as leader. She is progressive on most issues (though I hated that she didn’t fight the Patriot Act) – and she got some good things done, despite Obama, blue dogs and Republicans.
Reid, on the other hand, should be booted. Ironic that the better leader loses her gavel and hapless Harry gets to keep his post.

chitowner commented on the blog post How’s Tim Kaine Working for You Dems?
Kane’s not great, but he didn’t cause this. Obama hand picked him for the job. The buck stops with Obama, who’s done the lousiest job of anybody handed a mandate and both chambers of Congress in a crisis. He had two predecessors he could have modeled – either of the Roosevelts – for guidance in achieving reforms in bad times. Both those guys came to power when regular people had been run over by uber-capitalist pigs and they achieved major progressive reforms. Obama, may be a brilliant guy, but he has yet to prove to me he really gives a shit about regular people or can accomplish anything beyond nice speeches that make people feel good. God, I hope Reid loses. If leadership of the Senate doesn’t change, there won’t be any competent Democratic leadership in D.C. at all.
