They loves herring….in any form. Fins do sauna for hours at a time often. And sauna is ALWAYS naked. It’s not illegal to enter sauna with clothes, but it may as well be. Sauna is about the only place were Finns will “let go” verbally. But no sex, swearing or controversial subjects. Sauna can be [...]

Here is my take. A big thanks and h/t to OhioBarnarian for pointing this out in another comment to another post. MH17 was likely taken down by a shoulder launched surface to air missile. Such armaments are easy to obtain and eastern Ukraine was the military weapon manufacturing area for the former USSR. I don’t [...]

Finns are very pragmatic people on most things. Well with the possible exception of sauna. Not to sure about sitting in a 190 degree room for an hour or more than running out buck naked and jumping into a 40 degree lake. But what ever floats your boat, I guess.

The Finnish people were for a very long time agrarian and had very large farms with multiple families and couples who were sometime officially married, sometimes not. The church was not pleased but it was the custom. Marriages were often arranged and the couples would go live with but some times the brides family and [...]

A very good account of Finnish domestic life: http://www.everyculture.com/Europe/Finns-Marriage-and-Family.html Finns – Marriage and Family

Marriage. Endogamous tendencies characterized marriage in Finnish rural society, with mates frequently chosen from the same village, parish, or rural commune. This tendency was most pronounced in the eastern districts among large Karelian joint families and those of the same background and status. [...]

In Finland this has been going on much longer, I believe. Be that as it may. As to genetic commonality of the Finns and other Nordic countries, that has been proven. These is even a small commonality with the Sammi peoples.

American liberals are ultimately responsible for our failure to embrace Socialism. The model of resistance they have constructed is one in which bandaids are applied to the ravages of capitalism. Rather than addressing the problem at its root, liberals accept capitalism and seek to repair its shortcomings.

because American Liberals were one of the first to [...]

War has nearly always been one group of elites against the other with the fighting a dying done by the commoners and underlings they have conned into to doing it. Sooner or later the elites will tire of this planet and want to move else where, conning or cloning or making some other fools to [...]

Funny how changing the narrative and terminology makes that which would be ethically and morally repugnant, acceptable or just a minor inconvenience. No longer beings but replicants and therefore not killed but retired. But we have done this all along.
