coloradoblue commented on the blog post Google+ And Obama Ignore Marijuana Questions
As I used to say in comments over on Kos, “Barry don’t care”. I got slammed for it but getting slammed doesn’t change the fact that Obama cared about only one thing, being the first AA prez. Nothing else ever mattered and nothing else ever will.
He’ll retire, probably after his completely undeserved re-election to dozens of corporate boards and speaking engagements around the world. He’ll retire to comfortable tens-of-millions with a do nothing legacy.
A legacy that will include a worsening economy for all but the 1%, a continuing destruction of civil rights, being the first president who killed a US citizen with no thought of the constitution or the bill or rights, completely ignoring global climate change. The list of failures for Obama is so long it isn’t even worth crying over.

Obama, the guy who, like the pod people in Invasion of the Body Snatchers, can point to a person, any person including an american citizen, hiss the word ‘terrorist’ and have that person killed.
Please tell me how in fuck this murderer gets re-elected.

coloradoblue commented on the blog post Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner Selectively Invokes Health Regulations to Evict Occupy Syracuse
Just as the Supreme Court found in the case of Shuttlesworth v. Birmingham during the civil rights era, governments cannot use the pretense of public health and safety to stifle free speech that is critical of them.
And no doubt the four reich-wing SCOTUS fucktards (RATS) and their little lap dog (Kennedy) can’t wait to do away with this precedent.

Yep, O’Failure and way too many of the Senate Dems are just Pretenda-Dems.
That’s why I no longer am a Dem.

If the children and grandchildren of the politicians and the MIC and the one-percenters were the first to go in harm’s way, there would be a lot fewer wars.

Hey Barry. I don’t vote for war criminals.
Fuck Barry, fuck Leon and fuck the Dems.

Greenharper, if you are asking what PUMA stands for it is ‘Party Unity My Ass’, a response from Hillary supporters during the primary in 2008 who thought, among other things, that Obama stole the nomination and therefore the PUMA’s were not going to support Obama in the election.

““I don’t even know what he stands for,” said Susie Tompkins Buell…” Susie, let me help. Barack Obama stands for… Barack Obama. And that’s all. He has no principles, no core beliefs, no interest or ability or desire to lead. Is this the best the Dems have? For the sake of the 99%, I hope [...]

Is reform of the electoral system the first required step?
1. Eliminate the Electoral College.
2. Public financing.
3. All paper ballots.
4. No restrictions on the rights of Americans to legally vote.
5. No Gerrymandering.
6. More of a parliamentery system with multiple parties.
7. Instant run-off voting.
8. No permanent campaigning, meaning a defined electoral time frame. Is anybody else sick of the constant campaigning?
9. A regional primary system. Screw Iowa and NH.I’m sure there a lots more ideas I haven’t thought of. Have at it.

New Rule – not from Bill Maher…
Anytime the US initiates hostilities (and let’s face it, the US almost always is the one initiating) the draft age (18-35) year old children and/or grandchildren of federal politicies will be the first ones sent in harm’s way.
No exceptions. No CO status, no deferrments.
If they are physically able to serve, they pick up a rifle and serve, in front line positions.
Think there might be a lot fewer wars?

Obama is going to pivot himself into a bunch of corporate boards at $100k per year, massive speaking engagement fees and plenty of golf. He’s going to be the Dem equivalent to Jerry Ford.
Basically, Barry don’t care. He wanted to be the first AA prez and he made it, nothing else matters.

Time for Hillary?
I don’t see Hillary as much better. She is a much a warmonger as Obama, she recently came out with praise for the austerity measures in Europe. Maybe (who knows) she wouldn’t be as much in favor as Obama to begin the destruction of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
I don’t really see anyone on the national scene who will stand up for the poor, working class and middle class. I’m not sure Hillary would.

By next spring Obama is going to be unelectable.
And my gut feeling is that he doesn’t even care about reelection. Obama wanted to be the first AA Prez and he made it. After that nothing matters to him.
I’ve been saying for some time that ‘Barry don’t care.’ and nothing he does makes me change my mind.
In 2013 he’ll end up on numerous boards, travel the world making millions in speaking fees and otherwise reminding us what a worthless turd he turned out to be.

Bush Sr, yeah, I’ll agree. But not Ronnie. He was a die hard right winger. The fact that he raised taxes seven times just shows that he had a bit of common sense. Remember James Watt?
