I don’t want the ridiculous performance of David Gregory on Sunday’s “Meet the Press” to be overlooked. He almost achieved the fetal position when deferentially “interviewing” Lord Mitt and Dame Ann. Then, in his breezy one-on-none with Mitt, he allowed the candidate to avoid answering a question about exactly what tax loophole would be closed. Of course, there was no question about Mitt’s tax returns because Gregory probably agreed to that prohibition in order to get the interview in the first place. WTF?
The only question I had after the cute choreography was complete was whether or not the Romney campaign returned Gregory’s balls after it was over. What an embarrassing wimp. NBC-News ought to be ashamed of itself…but then I’m sure its corporate overlords at GE are quite proud of the charade their newsboys are pulling off.
