Thanks to everyone! Being able to ask questions online of an author is just one the wonderful things I like about the Internet.

That’s very disturbing about Keith and Rachel.

Were you happy with any of the interviews you have done? If so, which one(s)?

Maybe when it’s all over, journalism professors can use the unchecked rise of Sarah Palin to teach what should have been done, if the press had been doing their job.

I can only speak for myself. When McCain picked her, I was curious and started looking online to find out about her. Then, I became very worried about her; she was spewing such venom and racism and no one was calling her on it. I’m no longer worried – I don’t think she has any chance of getting elected to any office.
Now, when I read about her it’s almost like my entertainment for the day. I know that sounds sick. What can I say? I have a BA in Psychology and watching her self-destruct is fascinating.

I’ve seen several interviews you have done for this book and it really seems like the interviewers are not being fair, and are in fact, rude to you. They have focused on the salacious stories and ignored the over-arching theme of her being a fake and that the media didn’t really vet her.
You have done a good job of holding your own. I am sure I missed some; can you tell us which interviews you thought were fair? I’d like to find them and watch them.

The book was great, Joe. While I understand that it must have been horrible to receive death threats, I imagine that it actually gave you first hand experience of what others (who have crossed Sarah) have gone through. To learn why people are so scared of her.
I’m wondering what your opinion is of the letter CBJ, her family doctor, released on the election eve? Do you think CBJ actually wrote it? Or could Sarah have written and released it without her doctor’s knowledge or consent? Thanks in advance:)

Oh Marcy, I’m a lurker, I hardly ever comment, but you can be sure I will follow you once again. You are the reason I donated to FDL. I love that you get “in the weeds” – there are so few journalists who actually do research issues like you do. I absolutely loved following your live blogging during the Scooter Libbie trial and your book.
I look forward to seeing your new home.

Jeanne and Shannon,
Thanks for taking the time to do this Book Salon. I have to run off to a prior commitment, but I’ll come back later and read what I missed.
This is one of the things that I love about the Internet – that I’m here in Virginia and I can read your blogs and learn about Alaska and ask you questions! It’s amazing. And I love Brian the moose!

One thing I’m wondering is if people who work with Sarah were asked to sign confidentiality agreements? Was Frank ever asked to sign one? Were people who came later in her (so-called) career asked to sign an agreement? Was Levi ever forced to sign one?

Hi from Virginia!
I just finished your book and found it fascinating. I’m assuming that Jeanne, in agreeing to work on this book with Frank, came to believe that he was truly remorseful for some of his behaviors when working for SP. Is that a correct assumption? And if so, what convinced you of that? Thanks in advance:)
