He is a Very Serious Person and he wants to know.

What is your problem? Why is the FBI and the police making him afraid for 48, 72 or 96 hours? It is a conspiracy to Make Him Afraid and it shall not stand (or everyone is incompetent)

    What a dick!

Does this now mean that we can no longer call soldiers ‘our boys and girls’? So ‘my team’ means I, personally, have to own the team?

because she did not say ‘children’s education is a community responsibility’ she is now a child stealer?

    Wow!

Plus children cost approximately 10% more than what any reasonable person can earn in a year.

Of course there is no danger of reproduction here. She measures children in terms of dollars.

My good Wren and Martin! How the hell does her editor not want to bash his head against the wall seeing this gem:

For which we are very grateful, as well as very fond.

problem is: little timmy farris *will* grow up and *will* get elected to congress and *will* be a pain in the ass for the rest of us.

  • really? funny how that works. they assigned it as required reading for my 11-year old. i read it and objected – as material fit for a 11-year old.

as for me. i found the book pretentious, casually violent and just plain silly pop-philosophy.

    didn’t really see the worth.

    just me, though.

Dude, you really need to get out more. New York City, where the Wall Street Journal lives and breeds, is chock full of twenty something finance ‘analysts’ pulling in over 250k. The rest of America – not so much.

Also, notice that the retired couple pulling in 180k annually and who will NOT see their taxes go up one red cent are still looking like they have lost a child at Sandy Hook.

Clearly, the WSJ knows its audience well.

the Wall Street Journal’s head is exploding – as evidenced by their spittle filled editorial:

“The better way to see it is that the tax bill on private productive part of the economy is now coming due for President Obama’s first term spending and re-election” (my emphasis)

The War on Iraq and Afghanistan never happened and if they did, they were paid for with magical fairy dollars that never becomes debt. Only extending unemployment benefits turn into debt.

The whole editorial is a thing of joy to behold, with their acknowledgement that “the private economy is growing” which, of course was NEVER going to happen as long as the taxes were not cut all the way back to zero.

But hats off to Obama for staying firm on the key pieces. Of course we could have had more, but then, we always could have had more no matter what we got.

    It is all good.

no, it is a kaleidoscope: the bits of colored glass are the same, but depending on a particular arrangement around the mirrors, the picture is completely different.

There is no overarching story, just the projections of what that particular creature wants the story to be.

anytime the company’s website lists the email of the ‘director of the Board’ as the primary contact and the website is ‘under construction’, you know they are a thriving business creating hundreds of jobs.

    You just know it.

    So, shut up.

I suppose the irony of someone styling herself jane Galt quoting this shitty line: I will never live for the sake of another man nor ask another man to live for me’ putting up a ‘wish list’ to mooch off others (an OVEN fer crying out loud…)is compleely lost on that woman…

Oh, and Canary Wharf Clothiers is quite the jawb creatuh!

The board consists of two people: abovementioned Opie (who is the Director) and a dude named Phillips John Pierre Bennett, a dude appointed to the post in 2010 after the previous secretary resigned in 2008. So, for the intervening couple of years, it looks like the Opie show, based in Britain

That’s it. Two people on the ‘Board’, one of them the owner.

They used to be something called Bladen Menswear which was not blue collar enough apparently, so they became Canary Wharf Clothiers in April 2012.

Quite the company – and a great flag-bearer for the oppressive taxes levied on American Jawb Creatuh!

OK, genius: here is a simple question:

If Adam Lanza was armed with a 10 inch kitchen knife with intent to kill, do 28 people die that day?

If your answer is ‘yes’ then you are an idiot.
If your answer is ‘no’ then you ought to just shut up.

If your answer is ‘it depends’, you are Wayne LaPierre and you should probably just shut up anyway.

you really want to go the equivalence route?

    moronic.
