If one goes back to the 19th and early 20th century, there were arguments that income from labor should be taxed at lower rates than income from capital. Today, as you point out, it is the opposite in the USA.

Interesting to see Bill Frist listed on one of those Boards. The First family started up Hospital Corp. of American in the Columbia/HCA that Scott ran and got fired from back in the 1990. Tommy Frist is mentioned here.

1. Will he fire his attorney?
2. Will he insist that Florida Governors be included in bill that stock attribtion rules applied to Florida legislators also apply to Governors?

Meanwhile, Rick Scott continues to try and get richer with reguired drug testing. It is just coincidence that his company Solantic provides that service. Apparently stock attribtion rules do not apply to politicians; Scott transferred ownership to his wife and thus of course he would not benfefit? If you click through to the Palm Beach paper article you can evaluate for yourself whether there are a number of other significant conflicts of interest that Rick may have already.
