I just asked a simple question. Can you not give a reasonable response?

This is simply not true. I met yesterday with some of the leaders of the Tea Party Patriots and they have never met nor received one dime from the Koch Bros or any other large corporation. It is simply a grass roots organization that receives it’s funding from it’s members. I cannot speak for Ta [...]

I’m way to the right of most of you and I would gladly work with you all if the candidate was Dr. Paul. He has a lot of respect from many on the right. (although the mainstream thinks he’s whacked) Dr. Paul is the one guy that could bring both disenchanted sides together. He is [...]

This is utterly ridiculous. I think the election of 63 new right wing house members, 683 state house seats changing and 19 new Republican governors tells you this is simply a fact. You can try and spin it but…

So I’m curious, do you guys like to hear dissenting points of view? I notice most of the conversations here seem to be “group speak” without many differing points of view. Do you prefer it that way?

I think we will see some movement on opening up the feds world now that Ron Paul will head the House committee on financial services.

How to finance that? Tax the corporations till they bleed. But point one: jobs jobs jobs! Doesn’t the first part of this make sure the second part does not happen. The jobs will come when the corporations (95% are small businesses) have simple fair rules. There would be some synergy on the right, but we [...]

Most Conservatives I know want a fresh candidate w/out the baggage. The names I’m hearing are Mitch Daniels, John Thune, Mike Pence, or Chris Christie. The VP will be the “rising star” Marco Rubio.

I am a conservative and I think we all have more in common than you think. I want large corporations properly regulated. Just not over regulated. I think we just want the 95% of corporations which are the Mom and Pops you see on main street to have a chance to make a buck and [...]

What did I say that was not civil S.D? Have you seen some of the inusults and names I’ve been called here. I am trying to have a civil conversation. I meant in no way to insult you SD. If I did I apologize.

I get my info from all of the above and more. I do my own research and I go to all sorts of site to see what they think. I do believe in basic free markets (to a degree) and unlike most of you I do not believe all big corporations and businesses are “evil profiteers.” They provide jobs and economic growth far more then any Government program can. Our nation was founded and thrived for centuries off of these principals. If you do not like them why do you not move to one of your socialistic havens. This election showed the populace thinks Obama and Co. went to far. Only left leaning sites like this believe it’s the opposite. Keep reaching further left. You will see the right take over all branches.

I live in a blue collar town in Nor Cal with 24% unemployment. we have to reduce our debt and long term “entitlements” NOW to avoid a crisis in the near future.

I hope you realize we do have to make cuts. All over the world people are having to make tough decisions. Although I’m not a fan fan, I applaud Obama for putting this commission together. There are cuts and timeframes I do not like. However, I see the need for us to make some big moves in order to ensure our long term fiscal stability. “It’s for the children.”
