I found the number of cops on Sunday to be rather ridiculous, but since I was between the black bloc and the cops, I did talk to the cops some. Most of them were friendly when I thanked them for marching with us, but pointed out that they forgot their signs.

The black bloc folks were not friendly to me at all. It was the black bloc that inspired me to leave the march. They did not feel safe to be around.

I can’t say much of anything about these arrests.

But I can speak of my experiences in the march on May 20th in Chicago. I kept finding myself between the black bloc and the CPD, even though I tried to get ahead of them. They were dressed in hoodies, face scarves, and head coverings, and usually long black pants. It was 90+ degrees and sunny.

And I found them frightening, much more so than the police, who were walking in single file on both sides of the march in the area of the black bloc. I imagine the police did that to make sure the black bloc did not leave the main march and go off on their own. The black bloc made an effort to stay together.

No one said anything ugly to me, or did anything destructive or illegal. But I found the black bloc creepy. They would not look at me in the eye and would turn away when I tried to talk to them or take a photo.

I ended up dropping out of the march and watching from the side until the end. I just did not feel comfortable with the black bloc folks nearby.

And, I guess I should add – my mortgage was ALWAYS with BofA. They never sold it – I was an excellent credit risk, and they knew they were going to get their money from me. So, no selling off to other mortgage holders or Mortgage Backed Securities.

Those fuckers know what they are doing.

I have a messed up mortgage story too – with Bank of America. In 2007, I paid off a chunk of my principle on my mortgage, except they applied it to monthly payments for the next 20 years, including escrow and interest, instead of the principle. Then they stopped deducting my monthly mortgage payment, and after hours of telephone work, started again – except they applied it to someone else’s mortgage. This inspired them to write a letter on me to the credit bureau.

It took months to straighten out. And it was more complicated than what I typed above.

But the gist of it – I paid down the mortgage early (no prepayment penalty) and I always had a job, excellent credit rating, no missed or late payments for years………… and it was still one fucking headache.

I so want to see BofA go down.

The Republicans that I have known – some in my extended family – are low on facts and critical thinking skills. They are also quite racist and hateful.

Now, the Democrats, as I see it, are somewhat dumb and useless, but the hate is not there for the most part.

One of the short documentaries is “Incident in New Baghdad”…. based on the WikiLeaks Collateral Murder video and Ethan McCord’s reports. I have not seen it, but I hope it wins.

I was a DFH wantabee – I was a bit late for the protests and politics (which had pretty much gone away by the mid 70′s) but was old enough for the sex and drugs.

And since 2002, the situation has reversed. Now I have the politics and protests and activism, but no sex or drugs. They no longer hold the same appeal…..

But my beliefs and morals stayed the same through out. GAD DAMN THESE WARS!

There was a discussion above about torture going down under Obama. That is true, and there is less kidnapping, and less secret prisons under Obama. But that is mainly due to a change in tactics – Obama is just assassinating people, usually by drone strikes, rather than capturing them, kidnapping them, and then taking them somewhere to be disappeared and tortured.

This is not an improvement.

Here, they take embryos and implant some and freeze others. If there is more than one embryo implanted, sometimes they abort the extra one(s). And sometimes they throw away the frozen embryos.

Now, if they REALLY believe that embryos are fully human, than this is far, far worse than a single women facing a troubling pregnancy, because there are way more embryos involved.

So how come they don’t come out with legislation to outlaw IVF?
