This kind of activity has been very effective for the GOP. They used this strategy to discredit the IPCC and create doubt about what is solid scientific fact. Since they don’t have good arguments on their side, they use personal attacks to discredit their critics. Same old, same old from the know-nothing party.

It should be noted that only about 40% of us actually vote. Many of these closet progressives just don’t bother. Republicans, on the other hand, are very good at voting. If everyone did vote, we’d have policies that aligned more with the rest of the world – like single-payer healthcare. I’m in favor of mandatory voting for all citizens – it is our responsibility to participate in our government and everyone should have to weigh in.
