I did baby oil as a teen.
Now, I put it in my bath water along with epsom salts.
Have to wipe out the tub each day as the oil leaves a residue that the dust from the wind brings in the window.

Okay, I’m a baby. :O)
And, yes tejanarusa, I’m a hoosier through blood. -

Context. How we see things?
And, really, who’s to say it isn’t so?
If we go with the theory of quantum physics where all possible
realities exist? Out in the weeds, aren’t I?

Varoooom, baby.
My grampa had a car shop near the speedway. History.
I have a pix of my dad in his uniform, standing next to his mom, Bea.
That’s on the mantle with a candle in a small vase with water. -

My daddy was born in Indiana and we always watched the 500.
Here’s a link to Jim Nabors singing Back Home in Indiana.
I’ve never heard a peep about your being late. Better late than never, girl. -

These are two nice fat Porterhouse steaks I had bought a little while ago when they were half/price and which I froze. I’m thinking an oil vinegar marinade and yes, salt and pepper. Once again, we’ll be the four-leggeds best friends.
And, I looked up the corn. Southern Cal valleys plant sweet corn between January and March and harvest starting in June. So, we’re almost to June, so this could be local corn.

Also, corn on the cob. Yesterday, I picked up 5 cobs for a dollar.
I’m remembering the line Knee high by the fourth of July, so I’m sitting here wondering where this corn I bought was grown. Hey, it’s Saturday morning and I’m not being productive yet. Just thinking and wondering. -

Hey, there Jimmy. We’re scheduled for gloomy for the next five days, except sunny for Monday, so that’s nice. And, then we get some more much needed rain on Tuesday, so even better.
So, you have a house full of kids for the summer? I remember putting together the summer schedule of activities for the kids. Camp, art lessons at the park, swimming lessons. All that. Was fun. -

Also, I found this about the apple…
One of the reasons roast suckling pig is so festive is the cooking process shrinks the skin of the pig and forces its mouth into the shape of a broad smile. The apple is an attractive way to fill that gap and make the pig appear happy to be eating.Read more: What Is the Tradition of an Apple in a Pig’s Mouth? | eHow http://www.ehow.com/facts_5879897_tradition-apple-pig_s-mouth_.html#ixzz2UJTJPktu

You had horses didn’t you, Ruth?
Sorry I’m late to the barbeques. I stayed up later than usual last night and this morning it’s overcast, so good weather to sleep in to.
We’re having steak and potato salad on Monday. We’ll prolly eat something else b between now and then. :)
Thank for the post, Ellie. -

Wow. Sounds like something very different from my exerience as a student or as a parent of a student. Sorry that these kinds of issues make me fall back on my own experience and I know nothing of what’s going on today. Sounds wrong in a whole bunch of ways. No food fight here, I [...]

Really good question. In my day, the people who Watched over us were all paid school employees, as I understood, but could be wrong. It does go from fast to furious sometimes, doesn’t it? If the cuts that are going on now lead to Volunteer parents – not knowing the circumstances in Kris’ kid’s school [...]
