Dylan watch your show often. Your Network meltdown would be appreciated a few more times.
I’m totally confused about the Amend Process. There seems to be 3 or 4 proposed amendments. How does this process work and do these multiple proposals diminish the effort or will these all be messed into one proposal?

Do you think some of our problems are from a general malaise of Western Society? Being a baby boomer I was part of President Kennedy’s Health Initiative in Public Schools, his Space Program that brought in the Computer Ages. It just doesn’t seem that We as a Society have something to aspire too. This is why I can’t understand why our President doesn’t present something of imagination and inspiration to our country.

Sorry, totally disagree. Keith stood up and gave life to the Occupy Movement, reported on Murdoch illegal activities across the pond when no other networks would. He’s only been on Current a few months and I watch him more now than when he was on MSNBC. I am intrigued why he was excluded from Iowa [...]

doggid commented on the blog post McConnell Admits President Could Pull Off Recess Appointments
Do anyone remember how the Senate rules would be changed last January to end Filibusters and let the Senate pass something? How the President threatened a Veto over extending Bush Tax Cuts? Vetoing the Defense Authorization Act? Vetoing Payroll Tax extensions if Keystone Pipeline Attached. The President had great momentum going at this years end but has totally lost it with these worthless threats. I don’t think anyone knows what the Pres. will do and whatever he does will do nothing but frustrate the base. The Pres. is still playing to Independents and will not press Republican’s with too many Recess Appointment but look for something slightly less like maybe 2 or 3 and say he followed the good will intent of McConnell and looks forward to working with him next year.

doggid commented on the blog post Even in California Obama Job Approval is Below 50%
My advice is to pay no more attention to Obama and put everything into elections for the Congress. We’ve learned that the power really lies here and if we don’t take back the House and hold the Senate and get some Governorships back the whole ship is sunk.
Obama has a year to prove himself and the more we ignore him the better. I’d pull inspiration from Wisc. Ohio and other states fighting back from the Republican Onslaught.

doggid commented on the blog post Late Night FDL: Come on Down to the White House Fence, Al!
I heard that Obama’s decision to not enforce Ozone standards will mean 20,000 annual deaths from Ozone Pollution. This puts even more blood on his hands. Arresting protestors means nothing to him. Maybe Al Gore’s arrest would make a difference. I applaud all of those involved bringing this matter to our attention. This is truly a Line In The Sand.

doggid commented on the blog post Obama Blows Chance to Force Stimulus Spending by Corporations
Everyone keeps saying that a Primary is historically not feasibly for an Incumbent but the way he’s going any Republican could beat him. The President has lost touch with Reality. The Oil Industry has been making HISTORIC profits and now he says they can’t afford these regulations.
Does the Pres has a dirty secret and is he being blackmailed? Nothing he does makes any sense. It’s sad to see that Ted Kennedy’s cancer was probably affecting his judgement when he saw something in Obama.

I wrote a letter to the Whitehouse expressing this exact sentiment. If nobody will Primary the President he really needs to make a calculation that he’s Politically a poor leader and needs to step aside sooner than later.

doggid commented on the blog post Dylan Ratigan’s Righteous Rant
I saw it yesterday live and it was the most amazing thing to experience. I’m so sick of Cable Shows having the back & Forth bantering. What Dylan expressed was that the problem we have is not a Democratic or Republican issue. It is an American Issue. At what point do we see that this is a Nationalistic issue that is destroying America. Why aren’t either side standing up and shouting just like we saw with Dylan. If you see someone being killed do you stand up get involved and try to save them? His passion shows how we all should be acting and not in a Partisan Way. The problems our country faces has been caused by both Parties. In the Progressive Democratic Party we see who our views need to be pushed further left and to get the Party to be more of a cohesive Party. The Republicans are going to have to move left as anymore right they become irrelevant and nothing more than an extremist party that will collapse unless they start violent suppression of people.
