That’s really the net of it. Make it so implausible to maintain social security and Medicare as they are that it has to be cut or “privatized”. Keep cutting taxes on rich people then “oh look, there’s no more money!”. I wonder when it’s the choice of defense spending or social security if the Republicans can still convince the endlessly playable electorate that it’s ok to eat cat food when your old because of the “evil empire”, “axis of evil” or whatever the boogie man is called then.

I hope Obama doesn’t seek a second term, please don’t put the democrats through that. He sold us out on everything and this? This was stupid easy and he fell all over himself. I guess you can’t blame Rahm anymore. I hope Nancy tells him where he can stuff his deal.
