Take care, thanks for your insight.

Wasn’t Murdoch trying to become a US citizen at the time TV Nation aired? Could be relevent: “see, I’m not some rabid right winger, look what I put on the air!”

Your mental health thanks you. That show, even five minutes of it, gives one a cautious view of the whole network, and its agenda.

I think we can all agree, though, about Morning Joe.

I think they’d have to fire Shulz; if anything he seems more fired up since KO left. Hope it stays that way. He and Dylan, to give credit where do, focus each show on the class warfare being made against the working class, where the focus belongs.

Whenever they get substitutes, the focus shifts. Hayes is one offender, the other is the one whose name escapes me. Subs for Dylan. A true Asshole.

Noticed, like you, how the focus was being drawn away from things of real importance and onto Glen Beck. That’s a classic propaganda ploy using one of “our own.”

Yes, it has gone way past the point of reasonable critique, and into the realm of obsessive, rote and strange.

My take on it was that it was a Stewart-esque ratings grab. Fire up the punters while drawing in enraged right wing viewers, that sort of thing. Using John’s time-tested formula of.

But if you’re correct…troubling to say the least. Do you think this Beck-obsessiveness has ramped up in the months since the Comcast deal was imminent?

The right is so good at this sort of shit, aren’t they? Trojan horses, false flags…Much better than we are; we’re too clever by half.

Margaret, since you’re the F-14 expert in residence…what became of Iran’s trove of those aircraft? Is it even conceivable that they’d be able to keep some of them flying after all these years?

Good point, you don’t even have to watch Fox to know what’s going on there. You get a recap nightly on MSNBC, and on everyone’s show it seems.

Sure, but they can, even with rifles, fire out the door with enough rounds to kill and maim lots of unarmed civilians.

Ahhh, the source of your Huey ambivalence?

Bell claims the new version has a lot more power for “high and hot” operations.

Muammar only wanted the best! (He also has Chinooks!).

The last line of which alludes to the aircraft being capable of supporting a .50.

I was following up from my earlier post, offering a graphic to show that this is a robust military aircraft. What I was disputing in your post was the mention of lighter helicopters that the Huey II.

Merely “turning people into hamburger” with the lighter machine gun is bad enough, I would argue.

It did prove my point. For the love of Jayzus please read my posts. My point had nothing to do with a specific caliber of machine gun. You brought that up.

And please, I’m not pissed off and I hope you are not either. This is like a dumb argument in a bar, and a side issue of what we’d both agree is a horrifying series of events. I’m sure we’re in total agreement on who the scumbags are in this case.

I agree with you. Not just the CIA, but all the other intelligence agencies, as well as the many oil and gas business types that have been snuggling up to Gaddafi over the years.

One of them told me, in 2004, that US companies had nothing to worry about doing deals with Libya, as they would “keep things from getting out of hand.” It was clear that this was the sort of security measures he was talking about.

The only person who even mentioned a .50 was the gentleman. Please read my posts if you want confirmation. I said that those helos were capable of mounting door guns and other weapons capable of killing civilians.

The gentlemen then came on, bringing up .50s and light helos that are not even in the Libyan inventory. Not even part of the discussion. The type and makes of helos that ARE in the Libyan inventory were well documented on this thread at that point.

So, I said “pointlessly argumentative.” Sorry to the board and the poster if that was excessively disagreeable.

Now that you’ve redacted it looks like I said something rude and nasty, lol.

Maybe they are pushing for it behind the scenes. Going live on CNN pushing for something that needs finessing is a sure fire way to get the Chinese and the Russians to dig in their heels.

Of course, they could also just be spineless, amoral scumbags. We’ll see.

Notice the machine gun hanging out the crew chief’s door?

Is it capable of killing lots of civilians on the ground, Mr. ~~~Edited by Moderator. Disagree without being disagreeable~~~ Yes? Then you’ve made my point.
