eCAHNomics commented on the blog post The Roundup for July 30, 2012
Ongoing intent of al jaz became very clear to me about mid-July, right around the time Hillary had her rant. I think it was presstv. I was watching online. There were 4 guests, one of whom was the Qatar rep. He finished off the roundtable with an even greater rant than Hillary’s about how SOMETHING HAD TO BE DONE about Syria and if there couldn’t be a multinational effort, SOMEONE would do it alone. He wouldn’t even shut up when anchor had to end the program. You know how low key and unflappable those female presstv anchors are. (A wag suggested that Qatar would fight Syria to the last U.S. soldier.)
I haven’t clicked on al jaz since.
I did have the foresight to comment once or twice during the Egypt demonstrations that, although I was glued to AJ, I had no idea what their bias was.
I didn’t know what had happened to change the network until I read Meyssan’s old column today. It explains plenty to me. Got enough of an understanding to move on to other unanswered Qs.
BTW, the Green Square mock ups of Libyan scenes during that war were in the AJ studios according to Meyssan, as I excerpted in 37.
I’m not familiar with Josh Rushing. Should I know more than your short & sweet description?
