ericintexas commented on the blog post Obama Budget Speech Later Today Strives for “Balance”
Yes, I second your recommendation of Glenn Greenwald’s “Obama’s “bad negotiating” is actually shrewd negotiating” article in today’s Salon.com. After George W. Bush, we needed someone like FDR as president, but instead we got a Neville Chamberlain.

I see many of you are very opposed to this military action. I understand where y’all are coming from, but I believe the people of Libya, whose lives have just been saved from murder by Khadafi’s military, see things differently. They’re thankful for our help. PS-I am a progressive voter and a daily FDL reader.

ericintexas commented on the blog post Obama Worked to Kill Democratic Fight on Tax Cuts
Dear Ms. Hamsher,
Can you please suggest ways we can begin to apply pressure against this tax cut deal and future regressive policies that Obama will – no doubt – be working to legislate? I would like to see FDL adherents, like myself, do more than leave hand-wringing comments attached to FDL posts.
PS – My congressman is McCaul and my senator is Cornyn, and it’s a waste of time to contact them.
