  • What do men who live in cloisters, who voluntarily chose a life of sexual repression and frustration, who chose NOT to marry and engage in the real-world pursuits of marriage and raising children, including feeding, housing, clothing, educating, and protecting them from twisted pedophile priests — what do these men know about “marriage,” and why would anybody take them seriously at ALL?

I’ve e-mailed you a few times pointing out that the “democratic party” is corrupt beyond redemption and that “working from within” is a fool’s errand and bad for the soul, asking that you show you truly are a man of real principles by denouncing these handmaidens of the Kochroaches. It is your choice to align [...]

there is also active discussion of “third-party alternatives” at oldelemtree.com, where hatred of Obama that developed as a result of his own treachery and lies is unanimous.

Because I’m totally fed up with lame excuses for keeping this monster in power, I’m just going to be rude and say, anyone who uses the Supreme Court as the excuse is just a gullible fool, and a tad suicidal to boot. You might do your homework and look into Elena Kagan, for just one [...]

  • Margaret,
I wish I’d been paying closer attention — but I was one of those idiots who didn’t want to hear it. I saw vague warnings on forums by citizens who knew him from Illinois, but by then the momentum created by his well-oiled machine and a complicit media was unstoppable, so I chose to believe all the empty words he spun, the things I wanted to hear. I’m sooo embarrassed that I also talked others into voting for him, sent money I really couldn’t spare to his campaign, and did vote for him — arrrgh! (but I know I’m not alone in that embarrassment, but that doesn’t change anything …)

  • The “healthcare reform” bait-&-switch fiasco was a light bulb moment for me re Obama, and it encapsulates everything that is dishonest, cheezy, and ineffectual about this flim-flam man. When “mandatory health insurance” was passed and touted as some big “achievement,” it suddenly became crystal clear to me that he was a con artist, liar, and stealth republican, and that in fact he would purposely undermine and subvert any truly progressive legislation with backroom deals and “bipartisan negotiating.”

I remembered his meaningless “promise” that everyone would have a seat at the table” while watching doctors and nurses being arrested in the People’s House for merely trying to get to that table — and he said NOTHING. I saw how he disappeared during the entire summer of 2009, giving teabaggers and radio hate-mongers all the latitude needed to totally distort the idea of “socialized medicine” and make his job of NOT getting universal single-payer healthcare so much easier. He could have given one of his “eloquent” speeches and galvanized the people into pressuring Congress to legislate such a system, but he said NOTHING, most likely regarding the teabaggers as his new BFFs.

I promptly dropped out of the “democratic party” and reregistered as Independent, and I didn’t bother voting in 2010, for the very reasons cited above — I didn’t give a shit after that screwing. Obama and the “democrats” have been dead to me ever since, and anyone who’s still loyal to that lying sack of shit is a moron with suicidal tendencies.

  • Excellent news! And I heartily agree that Dennis Kucinich needs to put down the “democratic party” crack pipe and join the Greens. The “democrats” are corrupt beyond redemption. “Working from within” is highly overrated, an exercise in frustration and humiliation, and bad for the soul. I’ve e-mailed Alan Grayson several times with basically the same [...]

  • Not only impeached but also convicted of and incarcerated for massively defrauding the public, running on false pretenses, making promises he had no intention whatsoever of keeping or even TRYING to keep.

But I’m sure he’ll be reinstalled no matter how the voting goes, because he’s such a willing puppet of the <1% — and he's "eloquent" in his lies, looks good on the beach, and has a cute family — what's not to love? Also, I have no confidence whatsoever in the ability of the voters to step outside the fake "two-party" system, where voting for a "third party" candidate is considered a "waste" — in elections that are no more free and fair than they are in Iran.

I agree that the Bidens should have given more — I assume they can well afford it — but I don’t like “republicans” OR “democrats.” They’re all professional liars in collusion to rob us for the benefit of their <1% string-pullers and palm-greasers.

I did sign — the statement makes even more sense the way it is worded on the petition itself, without Obomber’s name in it.

The statement is not that Obama “betrayed the award in order to re-establish criteria,” but that the investigation itself should proceed in order to re-establish those criteria.

Or do I have it wrong?

Otherwise, it really does not make sense.

  • As with “health care reform,” the deal was made a long time ago, and he merely had to snooker the people (the pesky 99%) into thinking he’d “made an effort” to abide by their wishes but was forced to “compromise.” The first rejection of XL was his typical MO: reject the first outrageous fake plan, [...]

“Centrist” is another word for fence-sitting, wishy-washy, unprincipled, noncommittal and cowardly follower, a person for whom taking a stand on anything requires too much intellect and is too scawey.

For a “centrist,” the idea of “rocking the boat” is anathema, even if the boat is the Titanic and rocking it would dislodge it from its iceberg. Better to go down with the ship than do anything courageous and risky to help right it.

I gave up on TPM a long time ago and told them basically they were nothing but obama-fellating wastes of pixels. Another obvious case, besides DK, is “Democratic Underground” (where Glenn Greenwald is also regarded as scum of the earth), which has purged any who dare criticize the ineffectual, duplicitous, treacherous war-criminal CIA-planted president. This analysis by David Glenn Cox is a must-read:

  • LePage is a Kochroach tool who “won” with about 30% of the vote when the majority was split between two others. As a Mainer, I can safely say that Maine has its share of teabagger morons — 30% of the population, apparently, or at least 30% of those who voted in 2010 or whenever it was — especially out in the hinterlands away from Portland and southern and coastal Maine, where the people are much more educated and conscious.

As far as a “democrat” getting Olympia Snowe’s seat — whatever. The “democrats” are dead to me now, so I really don’t give a shit or have any illusion that a “democrat” will do anything principled or conscious or great. I got an e-mail this morning from “Bold Progressives” hyping Chellie Pingree, currently a Maine Congresswoman, as a candidate for Snowe’s seat. I checked the vote on the latest abomination out of the House of Representatives, the “No Trespass” bill, and sure enough, ironically, “progressive” Pingree voted AYE just yesterday, so in my reply I ripped her a new one and said I no longer voted for “democrats,” especially fake “progressive” ones who vote to squash our First Amendment rights, apparently in anticipation of renewed OWS occupations and the NATO/G8 Summit this summer.

The idea that “democrats” are going to be “better” is a crock o shit. They haven’t been “better” at all, and there’s no reason to think they’re going to be “better” anytime soon.
