ima_sinnic commented on the diary post Avoid buying Koch Industries products with new phone app! by cgibson.
This could be the one thing that actually motivates me to buy a smartphone (except for, as mentioned above, the phone itself being something I shouldn’t buy for reasons of conscience and outrage — but maybe it’d be for the greater good).

ima_sinnic commented on the diary post Is an Obama Presidency more likely to accomplish a corporate agenda than a Romney Presidency? Is Obama “the more effective evil”? by Barefoot Accountant.
It’s obvious, isn’t it?
It almost (but not quite) makes me feel like voting for the “republican” wing of the CMP* for the first time ever.*Corporate Money Party

ima_sinnic commented on the diary post “Shut the fu*k up and vote Democrat!” by hermit.
And that’s why Bush was appointed and not Gore. And the idea that Nader “stole” votes from Gore is total BS. If Nader voters “would have” voted for Gore, why didn’t they? And what gives you the right to assume they “would have,” anyway? I voted for Nader, by the way, and I would have [...]

ima_sinnic commented on the blog post Sunday Late Night: Veepstakes BushStank
“Republicans” don’t think the same way principled people do.
You forgot the Fear Factor — what VP, a la Palin, would have the best chance of driving people in droves to ensure that even a war-mongering liar and con artist like Barack Obama — the .01%’s BFF and certainly the most likely to achieve the Holy Grail of total destruction of SS and Medicare — would be reelected to prevent, say, Jeb from assuming office? Sarah Palin was not some off-the-wall, dumbass pick chosen without a lot of thought — she was carefully chosen to influence the outcome of the election. She was also useful for dividing the populace into Teabaggers and Not Teabaggers.Don’t forget, with a “republican” “president,” our “democratic” “representatives” in “congress” might actually [tepidly] “oppose” the most rabidly horrible policies and legislation — that must be avoided!

Not sure what you were looking at because the countdown clock is still there, at http://www.jillstein.org/funding , now showing 9 hrs, 40 min, etc., which does end up at midnight in Wisconsin. It does load more slowly than the rest of the page, so maybe your page hadn’t fully loaded. Anyway, I’m on pins and [...]

ima_sinnic commented on the diary post Health Care Ruling: No Country for Old Men by Thomas P. Davis.
I’m soooo happy I’m now going to be taxed to ensure the 7- and 8-figure bonuses of CEO freeloaders and parasites who don’t pay taxes themselves but do everything they can to make sure that “health care” for you and me is as cheap for them as possible while overburdening practitioners with onerous paperwork and [...]

ima_sinnic commented on the diary post If you’re a liberal, you need to buy guns by ThatGuy.
Well, I certainly don’t want that POS to be reelected, and I’M NO TEABAGGER, and neither is BP. That #%(* POS in the WH is just an Idi Amin wannabe, issuing “executive orders” that give him the right to act as sole judge, jury, and executioner of anyone he doesn’t like (first calling them “terrorists” [...]

Still a little more than 21 hours to make the deadline for federal matching funds.
A countdown clock can be seen at http://www.jillstein.org/funding
I wish the contributions were updated in real time. -
ima_sinnic commented on the diary post If you’re a liberal, you need to buy guns by ThatGuy.
I don’t think you’re crazy at all; as a single, older female homesteader in a fairly conservative, unprosperous, and not well-educated rural area, I’ve been thinking about it for a while now. Not exactly for the reason you describe, which I find myself now sitting up and taking notice, but because of my sense of [...]

Don’t make me laugh; my lips are chapped.
“Drivel” is an apt description but a little too polite. -
ima_sinnic commented on the diary post Michigan and Oregon qualify for matching funds for Jill Stein; Activists Chris Hedges, David Swanson, and Medea Benjamin urgently call on progressives to donate to the campaign within the next 2 days by jest.
Thanks, jest — I live in one of those critical states and am on my way now to make a donation.

ima_sinnic commented on the diary post No More Democrats by caleb36.
It was a highly manipulated, stage-crafted side show to entertain the masses. If you remember, Jon Edwards placed 2nd in Iowa, the first primary/caucus of the 2008 season, but he wasn’t even mentioned in the
newspropaganda. Instead, all the commentary was about barry and hillary, who came in 3rd. I knew after that it was [...] -
ima_sinnic commented on the diary post Police Women of Television Land by marymccurnin.
TV makes people stupid, even otherwise intelligent people, filling their heads with noisy advertising gimmicks and jingles, subliminal and otherwise, and sheer idiocy. Hard to believe that people willingly pay for propaganda and advertising to be streamed into their homes. People should be paid to watch such worthless and even mentally harmful crap, and the TVs [...]

ima_sinnic commented on the diary post Revenge: Why I’m gonna vote for Obama in November by Jane Stillwater.
The Kochroach brothers are already calling the shots, including support of “democrats” like Obama. They’ve been funding the DLC (or whatever that organization of traitors calls itself now) for a long time now, and I don’t believe there’s been legislation since Obama took office that DIDN’T benefit them and their ilk somehow. And let’s not [...]

It looks like the obots are piling on, more and more desperate in their arguments. I challenge any of the obot brown shirts to name ONE great idea he’s had while in office to promote the welfare and quality of life of Americans, or ONE bill he’s truly fought for that would improve Americans’ economic [...]

ima_sinnic commented on the diary post Revenge: Why I’m gonna vote for Obama in November by Jane Stillwater.
I have no delusion that Jill Stein will “win,” because I know only too well the power of the corrupt, corporate-controlled brainwashing media to influence the outcome of “elections” (with ironic quotes because everybody now knows that our “elections” are no more free and fair than those in Iran), and if the outcome isn’t what [...]

ima_sinnic commented on the diary post Revenge: Why I’m gonna vote for Obama in November by Jane Stillwater.
I’m just gonna be rude and say this is probably the dumbest OP I’ve ever read on Firedoglake. The “rationale” for voting for the corporate toady and soulless murderer is so thin it doesn’t even register, much less make sense. Ooooh, he screwed us over big time, but some rabid, misinformed teabaggers oppose him for [...]

ima_sinnic commented on the blog post It’s Almost As If Washington’s Bishops Own Preserve Marriage Washington
What do men who live in cloisters, who voluntarily chose a life of sexual repression and frustration, who chose NOT to marry and engage in the real-world pursuits of marriage and raising children, including feeding, housing, clothing, educating, and protecting them from twisted pedophile priests — what do these men know about “marriage,” and why would anybody take them seriously at ALL?
