This is another good one, mafr, and I’ll keep it, too. It is unbelievable that the heart of a country, it’s working class, can be treated as shamefully as it is treated–either ignored or hammered.

Let’s hope that impressive list grows and grows as she achieves more and more, mafr. Thnx so much.

That’s delicious, allan. Do appreciate it.
Congresscritters created the mess,
“An IRS inspector general’s report released this week recommended developing for the first time specific guidelines to measure the primary activity of social welfare organizations . . ..” (ephasis added)
And now they have results of this omission that some, such as Issa, are trying to use to beat up the IRS when the IRS seems to have been stumbling around trying to figure out how to deal with the new entity that Congress created and left very ill-defined.
Now, will more people catch on or will the negative feelings about the IRS win the day for Darrell et al?
Sigh.

Good evening to you, E. F. Beall.
Well, at least they’re using the term ‘myth’. Rather than, you know, ‘fact’.

So, the chronically unemployed are less deserving than the more recently unemployed, while evidence shows that the longer you are unemployed the less likely you are to be employed again.
Well, there are the unemployed and then there are people who sit in elected government positions and deliberate matters such as this.
Arrrrrrrrgh!
Thanks, allan. Hope your weekend is an enjoyable one.

And, btw, BearCountry, each Roundup consists of 1,000 words. Honest. :)

I’m not ready yet, BearCountry. But when I thought about it, it became obvious that nobody’s pressed that “Off” button, so maybe I should think on that a bit. Which I did and you know the results, for whatever that’s worth.
I do appreciate that you find the Roundups helpful. That’s great to hear, the best I could hope for.
:)

It does get depressing, but my key survival technique has been humor, which continues to serve me well. Frankly, from a very personal place, I must say it helps to be able to share these things so they don’t weigh on me so much. And all of you help with your interest, humor and encouragement. There is always the danger of getting stale, though, so I need to be reminded of that, too.
Many thnx, allan.

It was a privilege to help DDay with the Roundups. My range of interests is very broad, so the Roundups do cover quite a bit of territory. I haven’t stopped, I guess, because nobody has pressed the stop button. Perhaps it’s time for an assessment. Dunno. What do you think?

Hello, BearCountry! You have been missed. Another thing about those leaks: how many come from congresscritters themselves? Surely someone’s done a study on that. And one on all the diversions created to entertain the increasingly impoverished American public.
Good to see you.

Nuclear plants and telecommunications satellites for a country that can’t even ensure its people work in safe conditions. What do you make of all that, mischief?
Many thnx.
