findog commented on the blog post NRA’s LaPierre Calls for Armed Guards in Schools – You Know, Like at Columbine
As a friend recently wrote in a column, the solution for drunk driving is not more drunk driving, for teenage sex it’s not more teenage sex and for guns it’s not more guns.
The so-called leader of the NRA and some of their members are extremists and the industry is focused on one thing. Money.
Hunters and shooting sports enthusiasts should be embarrassed and supportive of responsible, reasonable limitations.

It’s obvious the the Fox watching the coop was turned on it’s head. As Romney came on to concede and then the President came on to speak, it appears that Fox news went to regular crappy programming and ads. They simply weren’t interested in a huge national news event that was happening.
The so-called media giant sunk yet another notch by taking the TV ball home and refusing to show anything other than the Mittster accepting and the President conceding.
If the election had been the other way around, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, CNN, CSpan, etc would have covered it, as they are normal (somewhat anyway) and Fox would have done rerun after rerun of Mitt et al and their backers partying the night away and the Dems in shock. Repubs in shock…that’s too shocking for Americans to see.

TR Reid’s book spells out very well how other successful, less costly, universal health care systems have been set up and run elsewhere for years, if not decades.
Something has to be done. The current national health care scene is severely lacking, even with the recently passed bill.

I don’t think that you are correct. See this and many other references to the nation’s deficit for 2009. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aA8lChe4zUQU I trillion+ from what I’ve read and recall.
