If they had passed single payer health care, free or nearly free at point of service, NO WAY ANY PARTY would’ve challenged that new reality after Americans got a taste of it.
Obama’s purpose was to see nothing like that happened. All of what has disappointed us about Obama was agreed upon ab initio. The glib grinning guy who promised hope & change was hired to abolish hope that America’s ownership structure will ever change.
