foxman commented on the diary post Why I Cannot Envision Voting for Obama in November by EdwardTeller.
salving one’s moral conscience by not voting for Obama is far from being a sufficient response…We are facing a serious problem that will not be solved in the voting booth.
May I quote you on that?
Thanks.Best wishes to EdwardTeller & Perris, I enjoy your posts and comments.

You’d rather have Romney make the next appointment?
Your fairy princess is NOT going to be the Prez.
Sorry to intrude. -

you are under the INCORRECT opinion
Really?
I did not know that “opinions” could be “incorrect.”
Pardon me. -

Mr. Teller, I admire your moral clarity. But one thing I have observed is that Presidents come and Presidents go. The one thing they leave behind is the Supreme Court. We are teetering on the edge of losing this Court for the next generation. Who do you want appointing the next Justice? A D or [...]

“I prescribed the same for Cheney, and you haven’t heard from him lately, have you?” Well I for one thank if you played any role in that particular Dick not appearing in public spouting his vile rhetoric. What I fear though, is that he is too busy working behind the scenes to gin up a [...]

Surprise
It would be more shocking if a male dominated legislative body in VIRGINIA [is for lovers] voted against keeping their peckers up.

foxman commented on the blog post Late Night FDL: It Ain’t About Religious Freedom
I would like to propose that all male members of the Virginia House of Delegates (and from other state legislatures sponsoring this type of legislation) be forced to have a full on prostate exam before they can buy condoms or go have a beer
I’ve had the same thought, except the prostate exam would be required for any prescription “Erectile Dysfunction” medication.

Excellent summary of the facts, Mason; thank you.
I’ve sent a large part of this post to my AG, Lisa Madigan (Illinois.)
She’s been fighting, but I haven’t heard much from her lately re: the proposal(s) for settlement.
I’m hoping she won’t cave; perhaps your words will reach her ear.thanks again for your post.

Pakistan is seen as critical to the Afghan war.
Perhaps the best idea then, is to get the fuck out of Afghanistan.
Solves two problems with one move.Has anyone suggested this to the geniuses running the show?
And no, I don’t think they’d listen. -

She probably has one hand tightly holding his scrotum…
But in the picture we’ve all seen of the pair, it’s HER eyes that are bugged out. She must really enjoy having that grip.

There aren’t any votes yet, so it’s hard to know.
I think it’s funny that (with the new proportional vote rules) Ron Paul could ride into the convention as a kingmaker. oh my what a mess for the poor fools. -
foxman commented on the blog post Late Night FDL: Is Newt’s Teabag Too Big to Burst?
I don’t see how Mittney can win if more than half of the Party absolutely hates him. It’s not a matter of “not their first choice,” they hate magic underpants man.

foxman commented on the blog post Late Night FDL: Is Newt’s Teabag Too Big to Burst?
He could certainly take the nomination.
DrD, you’re right (sorry to call you that, I mean, correct) that Newt COULD take the nom, but I think the R Party people will do everything to stop him.
It would be easy if they could get him to fly on a small aircraft. This has been done before, so Newt probably knows better.
They’ll probably have to resort to dirty tricks to take him down (not difficult in his case,) leading to a brokered convention.
I thought the broke convention became a possibility when Perry was the temp frontrunner. Now, it’s a common theme:

foxman commented on the blog post Late Night FDL: Black Friday’s Instigators
Okay, I admit I enjoy a trip to IKEA a couple of times a year.
But the thing with fellow shoppers going into “where am I and what am I doing here mode” happens most often at the local grocery store. It seems that sometimes people let the shopping cart guide them; they (very slowly) point it in one direction, wait for feedback, then point it elsewhere and proceed (very slowly.) -

Great post Allison, thanks.
I also abhor crowds.
Used to enjoy shopping (in the old days, when I had a Christmas bonus, I’d take the kids on a shopping spree on Dec. 24.)
For the last several years, I’ve done ALL my shopping online.
Google products is my friend. -

Hey all,
Just a note about the Chicago Sun Times:
It is a yellow rag.
It used to be a “local” paper, until it was bought by Rupert Murdoch in 1984.
The great columnist Mike Royko quit in protest and moved to the Chicago Tribune.
Murdoch had to sell the Sun Times in 1986 in order to make more media acquisitions in Chicago.
The Sun Times remains a rag, and no one associated with it should be taken as serious journalists. -
