Agree. Obama is getting an outcome he is comfortable with. The Dem party leadership is taking their cues from the corporate donors; the donors to the party and candidates. The Dems are playing a role to assigned as to keep the $$$ flowing. It’s the Grand Kabuki.

Despite being a mostly cheerleading site for the Dem establishment, I do like the Daily Kos comment structure. You visually have the connected comment threads right there, where as at FDL the comment threads are sort of visually broken up. I plan on commenting here more in the future. -

In the early 80′s I worked in a Record Store (LP’s etc) .We played the Go-Gos a lot in the store. The store was in a working class neigborhood, so opened up the ears to those who normally would buy Journey, Foreigner etc.

As someone who lived in Ohio for decades I am not optimistic about referendum chances. Ohio has far more low information voters than, say, Wisconsin. I hope I am wrong but many millions of Ohioans are comfortable with mediocrity, just the way it is.
