    Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t understand why so many people seem to use the comments section as their own personal social network. I’m interested in reading comments on the stories on FDL, but I’m getting a little tired of wading through all the personal messages. Couldn’t you use email or one of the social networks where this sort of communication is appropriate.
