And by It you mean Obama.

You did; you need to bring it back. And you need to have some way to use senators’ kids and people that poop their pants in a front line capacity.

Like have a Cash and Crap Commando Squad or something, that tries to bribe the enemy and poop themselves in unison if that doesn’t work to drive the enemy back with chemical weapons.

No it is not true. I look younger because I exercise and don’t smoke and I cut my hair short so you can’t see my receding hairline.

I was going to say “To Make a Point” — same difference I guess.

The American Leadership has no problems with sending young men to die to make a point. That’s why you need the draft. These guys might not be so willing to send their own sons and daughters to die “to make a point”.

geraldo commented on the blog post Americans Are Far More Concerned About Drunk Drivers Than Stoned Ones

    2013-05-03 12:06:15View | Delete

My buddy drives like a dumbass when he’s stoned. He tailgates people, honks his horn if someone isn’t driving the way he would like them to, pulls out and passes people with barely enough room, goes through stop signs, etc. etc.

On the other hand, he also does it when he’s not stoned.

The rich see the accumulation of wealth as a game. It is no longer a question of having enough to live well, one or two million is enough to live well for the rest of your life unless you’re grinding up diamonds and snorting them or something. So they run up the numbers in their bank accounts to see how much they can “win” by.

They enjoy running up the score to humiliate the “losers”. For that is how they see the poor and middle class. Losers, all.

And they are not content to simply run up the score playing by the rules — oh, no. No, they will bend the rules or break the rules to run the score up faster.

They have no concern about the reality of people trying to feed their families or fight cancer or even just get a job. That reality doesn’t exist for them. They have no compassion because poverty is an abstract concept that they will never experience even second hand.

LOL. Suarez is a freaking amazing player but he has always had an attitude problem. He actually seemed better wrt the diving this year but yeah, one wonders if his talent is worth dealing with his issues. Like Joey Barton.

I’m pretty much in the same boat. I work for a U.S. company and used to enjoy going down to visit my friends and co-workers, eat in different restaurants and just basically hang out drinking craft beers looking out over the sound.

But since 2001 it’s been totally different. I actually dread the call to go down. Once I get back on a plane to Canada I heave a huge sigh of relief and melt into my seat.

I don’t vacation in the U.S. any more, I fly right over it and go to Mexico instead.

geraldo commented on the blog post FRC’s Peter Sprigg sets a new low for logical failure

    2013-03-22 08:07:18View | Delete

Marriage was originally intended for procreation. Women were sold or traded to men as property, for them to use as baby makers.

This was around the same time homosexuality was not only accepted, but encouraged.

As they used to say in Greece, Men are for loving, Women are for babies.

    Or something like that.

Marriage has evolved over the centuries and has never been the sole purview of religion.

My aunt once said that Christians invented marriage and I pointed out that would kind of make Jesus a bastard. She didn’t like that.

“Service fees” are the biggest form of theft, bigger even than this $4.00 dormancy charge. I pay > $10 “Service fees” per month on my chequing account, and that’s with a Credit Union. If I didn’t have everything being auto-paid out of that account I would shut it down and stick the money in a [...]

geraldo commented on the blog post Obama Refuses to Believe That Republicans Really Hate Taxes

    2013-02-15 14:35:47View | Delete

Republicans mostly use/mold their ideology to excuse their own greed and unwillingness to contribute to the greater good.

It should be a no-brainer that they don’t want to pay taxes.

The “premature loss” canard was concern-trolled about same-sex marriage too, and it didn’t seem to slow down society’s evolution on that.
