ghostof911 commented on the blog post Victory For Occupy Philly As Wells Fargo Protesters Acquitted
For the record, two of the most impassioned and eloquent members of the defense team were black. According to your theory, the judge should have been biased against them. It turns out she wasn’t.

ghostof911 commented on the blog post Victory For Occupy Philly As Wells Fargo Protesters Acquitted
There is a very good reason why Black / African American participation in Occupy is so low. In any confrontation with police, members of that group would be the first to be targeted for arrest. Also, because that group is routinely subject to targeting by police, any arrest at a peaceful protest could be complicated by prior convictions. Instead of a small fine, a misdemeanor conviction could result in jail time.

Carol, if the felony charges were dismissed in California, it would defy logic of they aren’t also dismissed in the Houston case where undercover police agents responsible for procuring the “criminal instruments” have been exposed.

If he knows too much and is no longer useful, he can be dispensed with.

Contempt of court seems like a small price to pay compared to the exposure of involvement by top-ranking officials in the entrapment conspiracy. I’m betting Dowell falls on the sword (also betting he gets disappeared at a later date).

Clearly. The question is, from where? Who is it that is anonymously calling the shots, causing respected look officials to look responsible for heinous actions? Why are the respected local officials intimidated from defying those unlawful orders?

Comment by John Penley :
I suggest people hold off on a big celebration for this until the second circuit rules after the government appeals the lower court decision. I also suggest people read the court papers in this case. One thing that Chris Hedges did in court was put Bob Avakian and the RCP on the list [...]

This is much appreciated, Brian. The NatGat logistics team has a plan for having water available onsite for everyone to stay hydrated, but everyone is expected to be carrying his or her personal water bottle. These will be keepers!

Great report of the event, John. It was a perfect segue to the national gathering starting two week after Syracuse. The weekend in Perseverance Park provided a great opportunity to establish strong in-state networking. The event in two weeks will enable strong networking over even greater distances. As Jackie points out, there is an advantage [...]

Kit, Occupy Austin is sponsoring a statewide Occupy event Occupy Your Capitol on July 4. The National Gathering working group has been working with Occupy Austin to help make the Texas event a success. The Caravan is deliberately making its trip through Texas low key so it does not take away any of the thunder of [...]

Occupy Caravan is one week young today. The Caravan started in California last Monday with one group leaving from San Francisco and a second from Los Angeles.
