A further thought, what happened to the “no fly list”?

I guess they threw it away huh? Ineffective? Or just couldn’t be bothered?

I’m kidding, I wish I weren’t, this has all the hallmarks of “conditioning”.

Wanna fly? Submit to whatever we can think of. It’ll get you used to it for when we introduce it into bus stations, train stations, public buildings, shopping malls.

Oh, and all electronic devices will now come with a video camera linked to the G’s surveillance team.

Curse Eric Arthur Blair AKA George Orwell, he wrote an instruction manual, not a novel!

He’s NOT a wimp! If you look real close, you can see where the strings pass through his hands. And the puppetmaster? The MIC.

It’s all kabuki to make you feel like you live in a democracy, you don’t.

    The MIC controls everything.

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

    It’s a bit vague… /s

Ask the TSA mauler to show you his warrant.

I’m with YOU! NO tax cuts for anybody. This country’s in deep shit.

Of course, the Potemkin President has the power to end the wars, but he won’t, his handlers will tell him it’s a bad idea that will cost the MIC trillions in swag and we’d make up the shortfall.

And isn’t it “convenient” that printer cartridge bombs were aboard cargo planes that flew out of Yemen, “Justifying” the US military to set up operations there…

This isn’t MY America, I’m 59 Y/O and have seen it destroyed by the oligarchs.

Bread and Circuses baby, Bread and Circuses. Keep em dumb, keep em from starving (mostly) and distract them from how much they’re being fucked by the rich. Hell, I’m starting to sound like George Carlin!

Margaret, I’ve read MANY of your posts and KNOW that you’re very level headed and I mostly agree with everything you say. I guess you could say I was striking sparks of of your comments. What the TSA is doing is unconscionable and illegal, all under the aegis of “keeping Americans safe”.

It’s all bullshit. The government doesn’t give two shits about the people.

If they DID, we’d HAVE universal health care and Wall St in fucking jail.

Well, how about we go the whole hog and install scanners and searchers at bus-stops, restaurants, shopping malls, etc. Anyplace that a terrorist might act. Would that be reasonable? NO!

How about the Murrah building in Okie? No one went in there with a bomb, but a hell of a mess was made and lives were lost. Do we now have to scan vehicles parked outside? I’m not yelling at you Margaret, I’m just as mad as hell. There’s no END to this farce, just keep cowing the people till we’re all good little robots.

That makes it unconstitutional and therefore illegal. But, no problem, because apparently the USA is lawless. Either there are laws, or there aren’t. Either you follow the law, or you don’t.

It’s quite obvious that laws are only for “the little people”. I could go on a rant about the US government breaking a whole lotta laws itself, (like the V amendment, habeus corpus etc) but I’d be tilting at windmills.

Apparently, I’m one of those loonies who believes in the law and justice being applied to everyone equally. How 20th century of me…

    there’s the IV Amendment…

No searches without a warrant on probable cause…

Where are all the Teabaggers with their hair on fire over violation of the IV Amendment? Oh, that’s right, their version of the Constitution only has the 2nd amendment in it.

Agreed. There is no REAL left, other than tokens (no offence, they’re great)like Dennis Kucinich, Bernie Sanders, Russ Feingold and Alan Grayson, to name a few.

He needs to be impeached! He bare-face lied to the American public to get elected, and has done NOTHING for the vast majority afterwards, other than tell us how hard it is to get anything done, given that he only has majorities in the House and the Senate and those meanie Republicans stop him.

The fascists have him under control. He’s no president… just a placeholder, a mask that the fascists hide behind, a Potemkin President, if you will.

It’s now quite obvious, to anyone with eyes and a functioning brain, that America is a fascist country.

Obama and his cabinet and the Democratic party do the bidding of the corporatists.

“I can’t fathom why Obama doesn’t get that.”

That’s an easy one. He’s owned by the Masters Of The Universe.

Even before he got in the White House he was being told “how it’s gonna be.”

If you want to see what happens when a President bucks the system, just think JFK.
